This Indian who came on a student visa, her studies have ended. She’s not yet working may not even get a job and we’ll have to return to India. Backup plan , went to the CJP protest at Trafalgar Square. She jumped on the bandwagon because she believes it could strengthen an asylum claim in the UK by arguing that she fears prosecution in India for attending the protest. This isn’t a new tactic. Many people believe some asylum seekers are advised to attend political protests and then claim they cannot return to their home country for fear of persecution or prosecution because of their political activities. Whether those claims are genuine is for the authorities to assess, but this issue has been debated for years.

That was a really cool experience! After about 5 hours of walking we noticed a very remote yurt, lost in the mountains, so we went to check it out. There we met two Kyrgyz boys (at first we assumed they were Khazak but we were wrong) - two brothers 14 and 12 years old - who lived there with their horses and cows. As they explain, they were a whole family living there during the summer: these 2 boys, their sister, and parents. The parents were out working when we went there. During the rest of the year, they live down in the city where they have an apartment and where the kids go to school. They kindly invited us in and we bought some of their homemade cheese and yogurt. We paid them through WeChat, which really goes to show how universal it is in China: even in the most remote places! We also spoke about life and... guess what... Mbappé, who truly is the only thing people worldwide seem to know about France these days 😅 Having traveled in some 64 countries so far, China is really one of the only countries out there where you can still find people - like them - living truly in accordance with their ancestral ways and their traditions. I've met hundreds of people like them over the years in China. Which is why the accusations against China on eradicating minority cultures are so shameful: they're literally best in class worldwide in letting people preserve their traditional ways of life.

I am deeply anguished to share a grave injustice unfolding in Kolkata, orchestrated by the Mamata Banerjee led administration. The Kolkata Police, acting as "Goondas in Uniform," have stooped to a new low by targeting the innocent family members of Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh. His son Shivam Singh (25) was arrested on baseless grounds of “providing logistical support” in a 'crime'. This arrest reeks of political vendetta, as the Police, unable to locate his father, have resorted to harassing his family. I met Smt. Seema Devi Singh, her son Subham Singh (28) and daughter Simran Singh (26) at their residence, where they shared their ordeal of being subjected to Police brutality, intimidation, and torture. This is a shameful abuse of power, targeting innocent family members. Under which law in India can the Police arrest family members as proxies for an accused? The answer is clear: NO LAW permits such illegal, unconstitutional, and immoral actions. The Indian Constitution, particularly Article 21, protects the personal liberty and dignity of every citizen. Arresting or torturing family members to coerce an accused violates fundamental rights and Supreme Court guidelines. Such actions are not only unlawful but a blatant misuse of authority by the Kolkata Police, acting at the behest of Mamata Banerjee to suppress dissent. We will not remain silent. The BJP stands firmly with the innocent family members and will pursue this matter in Court to ensure that the culpable Police personnel face strict punishment for their heinous actions.
