Oh dear this is really quite ugly. I really like the new BBC Breakfast style but this seems like a Canva template.

They're determined not to build on the broader BBC styles, aren't they... seem to be trying something different with every update - trashy breaking news area, distracting lower thirds, they need a cohesive design system

That bit where the BBC NEWS jumps towards the viewer in two steps is SOOO NAFFFFF!!! BBC design used to be a cut above. Sad.

The bed music needs to be smoother, I like the #bbcbreakfast graphics, so smoother music and better on screen graphics and we're onto a winner. I do like #bbcnews.

@FlorenceWaedon This audio bed has been used in the past on the BBC News Channel for the ‘Coming up in the next few minutes’ sequence.

Seems like they didn't even use vector art for the bit where the BBC News logo scales in at 0:02 :(
