True story: Got stoned with him on tour bus in Denver. It was raining he pulled out and put on the most balled up wrinkled long jacket ever. Actually he was the coolest one of them all. Kirk was an a****** only cared about strip clubs James was a dick Lars was okay Good times

Metallica leaves the stage. Cliff Burton stays. What happens next in Chicago '83 is why his name gets spoken with reverence forty three years later.

Isolated Metallica ‘Orion’ bass solo from the legendary Cliff Burton. I wonder how different Metallica would’ve been if the world had not lost him?🤔

Cliff Burton with Agents of Misfortune at a Battle of the Bands in 1981. Three years before Metallica recorded a note of it. Sound familiar?

Watching Metallica play “Master of Puppets” is one thing — but in NYC 1986 with Cliff Burton standing in front of those giant white crosses… hits different ✞ ✞

Disposable Heroes’, Metallica, Cliff Burton, live, 1985! The video is of its first live performance, on the 14th of September, 1985, at the Metal Hammer Festival, in Germany. Brutal hammer fist pounding to your brain! What a song! RIP Cliff, legend!

Metallica - ‘Master of Puppets’…how lucky are we that we’ve got this footage with Cliff Burton playing the title track back in 1986 at the Roskilde Festival, Denmark. Such a loss but we will always have the music. RIP Cliff, legend!
