Cliff Richard, 1958.

Can't stand him.. Another one is Rod Stewart.. All in the same club..

Yeah, loved when Rik Mayall (on the Young Ones) playing Rick, posed as a radical, anti-establishment rebel, yet was completely smitten with Cliff Richard, a safe, mainstream pop star. He wrote poems about Cliff, declared him "a wild-eyed loner standing at the gates of oblivion."

Clean suits and simple setups never go out of style

Thanks Brian, Sir C.Richard is one of the best voices all times. Lips,We say yeah,Young Ones,The Next Time,The Summer Place,Constantly and so on… And his band The Shadows were the”King of The Instrumental music.” Let people listen to the good music!

From 89 to 95 there was a station on my then local radio that played oldies. I miss that era of my life. I put that on and 7 hours laboring outdoors that's what was on every day every week.

..."Sir" Cliff Richard, just one of all being in the "club".

we're so gay now

He started out shithouse and just got worse from there.......

Brian you're remarkable. Pointing out influential music. This reminds me of Outside My Door by Can and the bass on Disorder by Joy Division. Keep being you.

😳

He's got "old man" moves.

Hmm, never heard of him. Though it does sound familiar, this was before I was born. Looks like he was a fan of Elvis with those dance moves.

When rock n roll wasn't just screaming. And those dance moves! Crazy, man.
