After years of exhaustive research, Donald Trump has concluded that climate change is "a hoax" created by the Chinese. That is absurd. If we are not bold in addressing this crisis, the future we're going to be leaving our kids and grandkids will be unhealthy and uninhabitable.

I want to be clear: Donald Trump’s administration is temporary. California’s commitment is not. He will be gone in three years. Our resolve to confront climate change is enduring and we remain a stable, reliable partner in that fight.

Germany’s Chancellor Merz on climate change: Fighting climate change hasn’t exactly become easier since we have a government in America that denies climate change. The fact that the world’s largest economy is no longer going along with it does not make things any easier for us. But we are not abandoning our course.
