Today we are in Rijeka for the opening of the “Deep Sea” container terminal at the Rijeka Gateway — the most technologically advanced terminal in this part of Europe, marking a strategic shift in Croatia’s position. 🚢♻️ Rijeka is becoming one of the main entry hubs for goods from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa to Central Europe — a transformation that will be fully realized through the continued development of a modern railway connection to the continental hinterland. The project has been implemented in cooperation with one of the world’s leading port operators, APM Terminals, and ENNA Group, with the support of Vlada Republike Hrvatske. The investment amounts to €210 million in the first phase and an additional €180 million in the second phase, bringing total capacity to over one million TEU. The terminal will be able to accommodate ships carrying up to 24,000 containers, with a draft of up to 20 meters. In the year that Croatia assumes the presidency of the Three Seas Initiative and the EU-MED 9 group, we are strengthening our position as the Mediterranean gateway to Central Europe — advancing the policy of modern sovereignty.

Flights over Iran can be seen diverting after a “major combat operation” by the U.S. and Israel on Saturday morning (28 February), bringing the region into new conflict. A video from the flight tracking service Flightrader24 shows the overnight stream of flights from the Gulf crossing northeast Iraq, but around 6 am GMT the pattern ends, with aircrafts instead flying west over Saudi Arabia. Virgin Atlantic said it will temporarily avoid Iraqi airspace, resulting in some pre-planned rerouting of its flights and cancelled its VS400 service from London Heathrow to Dubai on Saturday. Rainstorm Wreaks Havoc at Kugbo Terminal A rainstorm on Tuesday afternoon destroyed the yet-to-be-functioning Kugbo bus terminal. The heavy downpour, which started around 3:30 pm, blew away the terminal's roof across the Kugbo section of the Abuja-Keffi highway. The situation has currently caused heavy traffic on both sides of the dual carriageways. Scavengers, who defied the downpour, were on both sides of the road, carting away valuable parts of the destroyed roof and other accessories littering the road. The Kugbo bus terminal is one of the three newly built terminals inaugurated in June 2025.

Well, it’s not just Terminal 1 in #MAA which is ridiculously dirty. Apart from the IndiGo terminal, it appears all other terminals are being maintained dirty in solidarity with T-1 in Chennai by Chennai (MAA) Airport. This is Terminal-4 this morning ! Air India obviously cannot care much (it’s the Air India terminal) because of its internal problems and politics! The airport authorities did tell me that they would clean up after my last video, Airports Authority of India. But nothing happened. Why MoCA_GoI, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu ?
