Instead of plunging into the gorge, the car got caught in a tree, reportedly saving the lives of the two men inside. Pernell Harris, the truck driver from South Carolina, has been ticketed for having a vehicle that exceeded the maximum height of 13 feet 6 inches. Harris and the driver of the Toyota it slid into on the side of the highway both reported having no injuries.
