When the tomey’s syringe isn’t there I try to evacuate the bladder by creating a negative pressure from a 22F Nelaton catheter passed inside the outer sheath of the resectoscope avoiding any increase in the pressure inside the bladder It works like magic

we used a disposable syringe with a fine tip, connected directly to the cystoscope jacket. Works well too
