CLOUD 9 MUSIC VIDEO OUT NOW

The process used in the Cloud9 music video is based on Robin Hunter Blake’s photographic research into analog stroboscopic imaging, translating its principles into a moving-image workflow. Starting from in-camera experimentation, the goal was to recreate fragmented time and discontinuous motion while preserving the visual qualities of analog photography.

The effect was developed through iterative compositing and procedural workflows in TouchDesigner, recreating layered exposures, temporal fragmentation, and controlled image instability. The result is a hybrid process that combines analog photographic techniques with digital tools to produce a distinctive temporal effect in motion.
