Your perceived importance is tied to two things: How much value they believe you carry, and how much that value meets their needs. Perception of value defines how people treat you. Even Jesus experienced this—one person worshipped Him, another mocked Him. The difference? One recognized His worth. The other didn’t. Nobody throws away a person who is a gift and a value to them. Here’s the hard truth: Your world will treat you like a burden until you prove you’re a blessing. When people avoid you, ignore you, or manage you, don’t force your way in. Don’t beg for validation.
