🚨 CNBC's negative bias on silver I watched CNBC yesterday, and maybe 20 different people talking about silver: ➡️ not a word about China’s industrial needs, and how they need to refill SGE/SFE. ➡️ not a word about the ETFs in India requiring a lot of silver ➡️ not... a word about China implementing export restrictions 1st of January ➡️ not a word about the once-in-a-lifetime shift for green energy ➡️ not a word about the Samsung 1 kilo silver battery ➡️ not a word about BRICS and how they are moving away from the dollar ➡️ not a word about how silver paper price is set ➡️ not a word about the banks losing control of the price mechanism ➡️ not a word about the shift in short positions ➡️ not a word about the huge inflow to silver ETFs ➡️ not a word about the physical tightness in London ➡️ suggesting shorting silver and go long gold 🚨There was not one single guy from the mining industry or long-term investors, like Eric Sprott, Rick Rule , GoldSilver , David Morgan , Peter Schiff , Andy Schectman , James Henry Anderson , Josh Philip Phair , EB Tucker or Keith Neumeyer. With the price gains in 2025 certainly all of these people should be on the screen, and there are a lot of other candiates as well. I went to the largest Gold and silver retail market in the world on the weekend in ShuiBei China. And at least 2 Jewelry makers confirmed to me that they now have to pay a PREMIUM just to get their hands on bricks of silver gold and platinum. They used to just pay spot SGE price but starting about 6 weeks ago even they have to pay a premium! For example silver was about 17 yuan ($75.5) per gram spot price, but the jewelry makers have to buy for around 19 Yuan ($84.4)and then sell it on for 22 yuan ($97.74) to the public. I am talking about these 1kg silver bars and it’s NOT even jewelry yet! They add a few more Yuan per gram on top for silver jewelry depending on how intricate the craftsmanship was. I did get a call afterwards offering me a discount from the counter price, 5 one kilo silver bars at 20yuan ($88.85). Gold only had a 1-2% premium, but platinum 1Kg bars were selling for 525yuan, about $2332. Remember I went on the weekend so they were using last Friday’s spot price which was around $2130. Overall it does feel like that precious metals market was much tighter than usual, because the merchants now have to pay a premium just to get the silver gold and platinum bars. I don’t think she meant to use the word computer, but in an effort to not hang on the word, she just threw out a word like computer. Saying that a lot of people of a certain race who are less well off in the Bronx don’t have a strong vocabulary isn’t racist in my opinion. It’s pointing out the socioeconomic dynamic of the area and how it impacts education based on race. Her intentions are to make sure these people get a better education. Stop concentrating on the wrong things and start trying to solve the problems.
