You're leaving out crucial context, which is that inflation was already on a downward trend before Trump took office. In 2021, inflation spiked to 7% as the Biden admin worked to mitigate the effects of the Covid pandemic. 2022 it was down to 6.5%, 2023 it dropped (+)

From 2021 to the middle of 2022 ,inflation was 8.6%. It was 3.3% for the rest of the Biden administration. Things are already cooking under Trump. He might know what he's doing.
