NEW: Graham Platner releases video moments after Politico dropped a report claiming he s*xually assaulted a woman he previously dated. 41-year-old Maine resident Jenny Racicot told the outlet that Platner forced himself on her. "I remember him grabbing my pelvis and being really forceful of me. I remember the specific moment where I thought to myself, like, 'This is no longer my choice,'" Racicot said. Racicot says an intoxicated Platner let himself into her home uninvited before carrying out the alleged assault. She says she repeatedly told him to stop. After the encounter, Racicot says she cut off communication with Platner. Platner denies the allegations but now says he is "taking the time to reflect" on his candidacy.

Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner's wife says it is shameful that the media is sharing "gossip" that she first brought to light. The statement from Amy Gertner comes after the New York Times reported that she flagged s*xually explicit texts to his campaign. "Graham and I have a great marriage. Being married is hard. Being newly married is hard. Being newly married and going through infertility is hard." Platner is accused of messaging multiple women outside of his marriage on a hookup messaging app. The New York Times reports that Platner's wife told ex-campaign director Genevieve McDonald that he was s*xting with 12 different women.
