Making excuses for Shep needs to stop. Dude didn't even adjust to keep a spy on Josh. Didn't stop calling plays having Hutch crash down instead of holding the edge as they gashed the D over and over. With no OLB covering. The DBs couldn't even understand who to over more than once for easy big plays. It's not just Shep. The defensive position coaches have utterly failed to get these guys better or to even count. 3 of us. 3 WRs. CB to my left has the outside WR. I have a DB to my right. I'll go help cover that guy and ignore the one right in front of me. We are talling middle school DB understanding here and they failed. They bench players for playing poorly or cut them. Ending careers. It's long overdue for Dan to hold his friends on the coaching staff accountable. The players deserve better.
