Coaches, take a second and analyze my versatility. This is a cut up of me practically vs every route on the tree. Off coverage to the field, and boundary. Press coverage to field and boundary. Catch man from the nickel, and press. Tape doesn’t lie. Take 3 minutes out your day.

🧵: Part 1 of some of my favorite play-designs/play-calls from Sean Payton and the offensive staff this season. 01 personnel buck sweep to the boundary with Marvin Mims. The personnel grouping gets lighter bodies on the field and calling it to the boundary gets a puller onto a DB in space.

2nd and 1 usually makes defenses think shot. Indiana takes advantage of that with Duo. The Bear front takes away gaps inside, but the shift creates space to the boundary. The boundary 3-tech gets doubled, the Mike is out to the field, and the safety is off the ball. When the safety helps deep, the bubble opens up. Big gain.

De’Zhaun Stribling (Ole Miss WR) has gotten shockingly little draft coverage. • Fluid mover who builds speed quickly and eats up space against off coverage while consistently threatening defenses downfield. • Brings ideal outside size with strong hands and body control, wins at the catch point, and can produce at every level of the field. • Polished route runner — does a great job settling vs. zone and creating separation vs. man, especially on curls, comebacks, and intermediate concepts. • Shows the tools to beat press with footwork and timing, and tracks the ball naturally downfield for explosive plays. There were some questions about his speed and playmaking ability, but he silenced those with a 4.36 40 time and a 9.88 RAS score. A player I could see sneaking into Round 3 when it’s all said and done.

I was curious about the “aggressive gameplan” Bobby Okereke claimed that Evero called. #Panthers saw a 10% increase in man coverage on 3rd down from Week 1 to Week 2. Here’s a few plays from the Falcons game. *Last play wasn’t man coverage but one of the more exotic pressures you’ll see from Evero bringing the nickel and CB from the boundary. Only other time I’ve seen this was last years Atlanta game

DB Press Man Release Drill - Occasionally, safeties will press, so they need to work man coverage releases - In the drill, the receiver has a five-yard window to release - They need to stay between the two lines and work to stack - If the DB can widen them outside, they have done their job - WKU likes to be a yard off the ball when they're working press - In press coverage, they think of a basketball analogy of playing one-on-one - Force the receiver to "take a jump shot" and not get dunked on Andy LaRussa, Asst Head Coach, Western Kentucky Andy LaRussa #GlazierClinics

Take 3 minutes of your evening and enjoy this at-bat. “Line drive right field! Base hit! South Carolina wins the College World Series!” On a 2-0 count, bot 11, Whit Merrifield smokes a ball to right field and walks off UCLA for the first of the Gamecocks back-to-back titles.

One of my man crushes of this draft and someone I’ve said is the perfect scheme fit for the off-man/match coverage Halfey runs. Chris Johnson is a high level IQ player with great route recognition, smooth feet, fluid hips, no issues staying in phase with a WR, 4.4 40 speed, legit boundary option with some slot reps, thrives in zone/off man/match coverage. Just a stud. I LOVE THIS PICK! #PhinsUp

3rd and 2 out of the 2-minute warning and Hurts takes a sack. There are plenty of issues here. Personnel-wise, why is your RB3 on the field? Why does Dallas Goedert sit down over the ball against man coverage? The Cowboys are all over the AJ Brown slant route, devoting their hole defender to it, so the middle of the field is wide open if Goedert keeps running. The out route to Dotson is also open, but Hurts is already off of it, fading away as Jordan Mailata and Fred Johnson both get pushed into his lap. Also, what happened to single-high, let it fly? If you show me this look I'm putting Smith and Brown both on vertical routes and living or dying with my 1 on 1 shot.
