So evil exists, God exists, God willed evil to exist. He didn’t create it, He couldn’t. He’s holy, holy, holy. But He didn’t prevent it The Problem of Evil — John MacArthur // March 17, 2007 You have to understand that this issue of the problem of evil is the big issue, the big one in even evangelical Christianity, as well as liberal Christianity – everybody trying to save God from this biblical definition. Let’s assume for a minute that God doesn’t have the power or willingly limited the power for a greater good, human freedom; or doesn’t have the knowledge. In any case, guess what; evil exists and God exists, and God has no power over evil, and evil dominates the world, and it is beyond His control. The universe is out of control; it’s out of control and the most crucial point. So just exactly how, may I ask you, is God all of a sudden going to get the knowledge of the future that He needs to bring this deal to an end, and how is He going to exercise the power to end it, and how is He going to overturn His immutable decision in the past to give the creature autonomy? How is God going to define the end of everything in the way the Bible says He defines it if He’s not even in control of it, because He will not or cannot exercise the power, or doesn’t have the knowledge? Maybe global warming has more power than God. So I ask you this: Which god would you like? Would you rather have a god trying to get control of evil or a God completely in control of it? It’s obvious. It’s heresy to say the world is full of evil apart from a predetermined plan and purpose by God far beyond the willy-nilly human choices. So evil exists, God exists, God willed evil to exist. He didn’t create it, He couldn’t. He’s holy, holy, holy. But He didn’t prevent it. It occurred in a rebellion against Him. But He willed and ordained that it occurred. In fact, if you study the Bible carefully, you can see many ways in which God designs to use evil things – natural evil, moral evil, supernatural evil – for His own purposes, even eternal evil, sometimes to bring fear and terror and conviction on the unregenerate, sometimes to bring chastisement and discipline on God’s people, sometimes to humble them. And in the case of Job, He turned Satan loose for horrendous evil in the life of Job. You remember that Jesus said to Peter one day, “Satan desires to have you that he may sift you like wheat”? Remember that, Luke 22? And if I’d had been Peter I’d have said, “Well, you told him no, right?” Jesus said, “Actually, I told him yes, have at him.” What? “So that when you’re converted, you can strengthen the brethren.” There’s a remedial purpose in this. “As you come through that difficulty and come out the other side, you’re going to be able to strengthen the brethren.”It was 2 Corinthians 12 where Paul says, “There was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan.” A lot of discussion about what that is. Pretty clear. Messenger is aggelos. A satanic messenger is a what; a demon. I don’t think Paul had a demon in his life, I think that’s the demon that was leading the false teachers who were ripping and shredding the Corinthian church, and Paul prayed three times that it might be removed, and the Lord didn’t remove it. Why? He says twice in 2 Corinthians 12, “to keep me from exalting myself, to keep me from exalting myself.” If God so designs He will use a demon-led false teacher association to rip up a church to humble the pastor. He’s in control of all of that, of all of it.

Yusuf's First Diary Session 💙 Yusuf shared how grateful and excited he is to be in Biggie's house, saying he's genuinely enjoying the experience and feels great to finally be there. As he settles in, he's been getting to know the different personalities in the house and admitted that some of his first impressions have already changed after having meaningful conversations. He also gave a special mention to Aioku, describing him as someone he admires for his intellect. Speaking about the wager, Yusuf revealed that he took on the role of coordinator. He expressed how fulfilling it was to contribute his leadership, skills, and values to ensure everything came together successfully. Yusuf also had kind words for Chimsom, describing him as a cool guy. He shared that Chimsom was the very first housemate who caught his attention and said he was genuinely happy to see him emerge as Head of House, adding that he's doing an impressive job leading the house. On the Gambit Twist, Yusuf said he finds it interesting and believes it's a smart game plan that could help keep some of the most exciting personalities in the house for longer. Reflecting on himself, Yusuf admitted that some housemates may see him as unapproachable because on the first day he was caught up reconnecting with two people he already knew outside the house, unintentionally missing the chance to mingle with everyone else. He made it clear that this isn't who he truly is and hopes to change that perception by opening up more and letting everyone see his warm personality. He also shared that he wants the world to discover more sides of him beyond first impressions; from his talent as an actor to the many other skills and gifts he possesses. Ending on a heartfelt note, Yusuf said that respect means a lot to him. He believes in treating everyone with respect and hopes to receive that same respect in return. 🎥: Big Brother Naija #YusufMuhammed #BBNaija

Coppola had to fight to cast Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone in The Godfather. At the time, the studio saw Brando as “box office poison.” What finally sold them was his legendary screen test, where he transformed into the Don right in front of their eyes. Coppola explains: "I remember in one meeting, I was told by the then president of Paramount - "As president of Paramount Pictures, I am telling you that Marlon Brando will not appear in this motion picture." So I continued talking and arguing, and finally, they agreed to let me discuss the idea of Marlon Brando being in the movie if I honored three stipulations. A - he would do a screen test. B - he would do the film for free. (he would get a back-end deal) And C - he would put up a bond so that if any of his shenanigans or any trouble came from him being on the set, that it would guarantee the losses. So I said, - "Okay, I accept” - What could I do? I accepted these three things from Marlon. So I then called up Marlon Brando and suggested, "Maybe it’d be nice if I did like a little makeup test or something? I could come over your house." - he said to me, "All right."… We got to his house very early, and we set up our little lights. And I had brought a bunch of provolone cheese and a little Italian cigars and little props just to kind of put around - sure enough, he wakes up, and he comes out of his bedroom; and he's this great-looking, I don't know, he must have been 47, and in a Japanese robe. He looked very impressive, and I looked at him with this ponytail and I'm like, "God, how's he ever going to play a mafia chieftain?"… And he walked on. He put on a jacket, and he started mumbling - I remember, he went through great effort to bend the tip of his collar - he said, "So, like, there's a time guys always have the collar bent like that." And he picked up a cigar, and he started to gesture with it and use it as a prop, and he nibbled on a little bit of provolone cheese - and he rolled up the ponytail, and he kind of pinned it up, and he took some shoe polish, and he darkened it, and while he's doing this, we're photographing… He took some tissue paper, and he said, "He should have the face of a bulldog."...He stuffed the tissue paper in his jaw, and then he said, "Well, if he's shot in the throat, he ought to have to talk like that a little bit." It really was a transformation of this nice looking young man with a blonde ponytail, into this kind of mafia guy… I took it to New York, and I went to Mr. Bluthorn's office (head of Paramount Pictures), and I said, "Oh, Charlie, Charlie, I want to show you something." - I flick the video, and sure enough, there's Marlon Brando coming out in a robe with a blonde ponytail, and he looks, and he says, "Never! Marlon Brando, never! Never!" And as he's doing that, he's watching Brando turn himself into this guy, and Charlie just looks astounded, and he says, "That's incredible! That's incredible!" And once he was sold on the idea that Marlon could do it on his authority, they allowed us to do it."

WATCH: CNN’s Scott Jennings goes NUCLEAR on Biden official Kate Bedingfield for saying both sides need to calm down and the left has NOTHING to do with the Kirk assassin’s motive: “‘Why did I do it? I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.’ He — he has a flat — that is — that is the message that the shooter Tyler Robinson sent to his roommate. That is what he said. He also engraved the word, ‘hey, fascist catch’ on the bullet. For ten years, we have heard nothing from the left but that Donald Trump is a fascist. Republicans are Nazis. Authoritarians destroy the Constitution. Bloodbath. Dictator for a day. And he wrote it on the bullet. And he’s been obviously marinating in some kind of information that radicalized him based on what he heard in the air in this country.” “Are you trying to equate [Charlie Kirk and Melissa Hortman]? I’m sorry.” “I’m here to argue. All I know is what the — the prosecutor said today. He read very lucid messages from a shooter who was motivated by political hate, who had a plan to get away with it. He did not sound like a deranged person. He sounded like someone who had decided to take it upon himself to rid the world of someone that he hated politically, that he thought that the world would be better off without. That’s different than some deranged lunatic showing up off the street.” “I don’t know that you’re right about what happened in Minnesota. I don’t.” “What I am not happy about is that we have the shooter's words. We know what he put on the bullets. It's very, very, very clear what happened here and there is a movement by some people to completely say, well, we have no idea. And we do.”
