Coca-Cola's bicentennial commercial from 1976

Tall ships in NY harbor. Local parades with WW1 vets still marching. M-80s flying. That year was a banger.

Did it still have cocaine in it at that time or was America just that much happier compared to now?

People now don't understand how saturated the airwaves were with Bicentennial content in 1975-6. It made its way into TV shows

I was 10 years old in the summer of ‘76 and remember the Bicentennial. It was a fun time.

I was in a parade just like that in 1976. It was a huge deal in our town. They even had a time capsule buried in the school lawn.

@michaelrulli Those were the days to be young and full of life! Amazing years. Even into the mid 80’s. If I had a choice, I’d go back in a blink.
