Every morning at first light, the Nursery herd walks out of their night-time stables and into Nairobi National Park to browse. They filter past black rhino Maxwell's stable and out to the forest. The route and pace vary day to day. Their daily walks have been a little more subdued of late. We've been having thunderstorms recently, and orphaned elephants Wamata, Kipekee and Daba aren't fans of the loud noise; they've been rumbling in discontent. But on this day, there's a pep in their step as they hurry to their greens! Read our Keepers' Diaries for an insight into their world:

A source close to the Iranian negotiating team, in connection with the cancellation of the live broadcast and photo ceremony in Geneva, said: "The American delegation and the meeting organizers planned to hold a handshake ceremony and a joint photo session between the Iranian and American delegations at the beginning of the multilateral meeting. However, the head of the Iranian delegation, Galibaf, and the entire team opposed this ceremony, stating that they would not participate in the photo session with the American delegation." One of the Ethiopian military’s main challenges in this war against the Tigray Defense Forces will probably be the TDFs effective use of mortars and artillery in general. The battles in Adi Daero in 2022 showed exactly why. Waves of Eritrean soldiers were pushed toward TDF positions and destroyed by mortars before they could close the distance. Their commanders were desperate to end the war, so they sent wave after wave. In my opinion it was one of the most brutal battles of the Tigray war, Eritrean and Ethiopian meat waves doing repeated frontal attacks until the defenders run out of ammunition and have to retreat.
