@GovofCO Well if you stop to help the drug addict then you get pulled into a dangerous situation 9 out of 9 times! Treatment is available but not until the addict is available to get treatment.

@GovofCO I called in a similar situation to 911 for someone on the edge of the curb on the ramp exit of I25 & Hampden. Was greeted in English, Spanish & put on hold. Finally, 20+ questions asked & all I wanted was for someone to make quick welfare check. (Fire dept was 1 1/2 blocks away.)

This may upset some people, but I’m telling the truth. I’m not here to say what sounds good I’m here to fix the city. We must help people who cannot help themselves. That means mandatory intervention when needed. It means making mental institutions and hospitals effective again. And it means housing people only when they’re stable enough to be housed. You don’t house active drug addicts you treat them first. Heal first. House second. If someone refuses help and continues to break the law, there have to be consequences. Compassion without order is chaos.

There’s suffering in Gaza. It’s real, and it’s awful. But sometimes I wonder whether people actually care about Palestinians or if they just hate Israel. Because the outrage feels selective. Israel is judged by a standard no other country faces. Take a step back. Just weeks ago, Islamist militias slaughtered Druze civilians in Syria in some of the most barbaric ways imaginable. No global protests. No UN resolutions. No embargoes. No calls for a Druze state. Nothing but silence. But when it comes to Gaza, the world rushes to blame Israel. Not the terrorist group that started this war. Not the ones hiding behind civilians. Not the ones hoarding aid and holding hostages. Israel is made the villain. Trying to give the Palestinians a state while ignoring Hamxs is like treating cancer with cough syrup. It misdiagnoses the problem. The disease spreads, and the patient suffers. If you actually care about Palestinian lives, stop shielding those destroying them. Stop punishing the one country trying to end the cycle.
