And every Russian loss contributes to our ability to defend our state, our people, our independence. It is symbolic that today we have the most positive European Commission report in three years. This gives Ukrainians even more motivation as Europe recognizes our joint efforts. Ukraine is doing everything to gain EU membership. Even in wartime, even amid the toughest battles, our state keeps moving forward in the membership talks, which is absolutely unprecedented across Europe. Every other EU member state has followed a much easier path. It is crucial that our results are met with proper support in Europe – that the EU fulfills its commitments. Ukraine is ready to open the clusters, and we need a European decision on this. I thank everyone who is helping. I am proud of our people, proud of every single one of our warriors.

President of Ukraine: We will work calmly with the US and all our partners. There will be a constructive search for solutions with our main partner. We will definitely not give the enemy any reason to say that Ukraine does not want peace, that it is disrupting the process, and that Ukraine is not ready for diplomacy. This is the dignity and freedom of Ukrainians, because everything else is based on this: our sovereignty, our independence, our land, our people, and Ukraine's future. We will and must do everything we can to ensure that in the end, there is an end to the war and not an end to Ukraine, Europe, and global peace. I have just spoken with Europeans, and we are counting on our European friends, who understand that Russia is not far away, that it is close to the EU's borders, and that Ukraine is now the only shield separating comfortable European life from Putin's plans. We remember that Europe was with us, and we believe that Europe will be with us. Ukraine should not experience déjà vu of February 24, when we felt that we were alone, when no one could stop Russia except our heroic people, who stood as a wall against Putin's army. And we were certainly very pleased when the world said, "Ukrainians are incredible. God, how Ukrainians fight, how Ukrainians struggle, what titans they are." And that is absolutely true. But Europe and the whole world must understand another truth - that Ukrainians are, first and foremost, people. And each of these strikes against our energy sector and our cities quite clearly shows Russia’s real interests and intentions: they are not interested in agreements, but in the further destruction of Ukraine. And it is precisely because of this that diplomacy is stalling. And that is why now, as before, we all need to remain focused on cooperation, to stand together politically – all of us in Europe, and all of us in Europe together with America. I thank Petr Pavel and the entire Czech nation for helping Ukraine. We appreciate the Czech Republic’s support and its attention to what is happening to our people here in Ukraine.
