Unless you are getting credentialed in a specific technical field, 90% chance you are wasting your time for a useless piece of paper and forfeiting much of your financial energy paying off the loan. The situation is exponentially worse now that the economy is noticeably tanking and the national debt is terminal. The Feds are wildly concerned about protecting adults from "crypto" risks, but have no concern letting these universities brainwash young adults into taking on usurious, bone-crushing debt to take worthless drivel from pompous pseudo-intellectuals.

It's really only a scam if you pick a bad degree, and that's on the person I think. It can be a great thing to have when done for the right reasons. Helps significantly though if you also live in one of the lottery funded tuition states.
