The skilled tradespeople in the future will be the ones making great salaries. AI will eliminate a lot of jobs. You can’t eliminate the HVAC guy who climbs up in your attic in 100 degree weather in Florida to fix your AC.

Colleges and universities had higher average quality when many fewer people were admitted to them. During the last few decades many worthless courses and degrees have been introduced to cater to students who weren't interested in serious study or able to complete serious courses.

This is absolutely right. The reality is everyone SHOULD NOT be going to college. Lots of people would be better off learning a trade. They'll be more useful, make more money, and won't drown in debt.

I have changed my thinking on High School basketball. I still love it and advocate for the investment in it by school communities. 𝗕𝗨𝗧 the Daytona 500, F1 at Monaco, and the Triple Crown aren’t won by Buicks and mules. Most kids won’t play college basketball (like 98%) but the programs that win have the players that will. There is a broken chain right now. The NBA has changed, followed by college… yet traditional high school isn’t evolving to stay connected to the chain. So the talent is leaving for HS situations (public, private, prep) that are connected to basketball’s evolving platforms. What’s always worked worked until it didn’t….
