Is this a forever war? Sen. Roger Marshall: "Not yet. And it's not going to. I will guarantee you..." How do you guarantee that? Marshall: "I think, at some point in time, the bombing has to stop. And as long as our troops aren't on the ground, that's certainly several steps away from a forever war." But if the bombing stops and nothing on the ground has changed, then what was the point?

Sorry, VP Vance: People saying this MOU is capitulation aren't "war hawks" who want a forever war and boots on the ground. It's not calling for boots on the ground to point out that we had Iran on the ropes without that and are letting up the pressure when they are weakest.

COLLINS: There are 84 co-sponsors on the Russia sanctions bill. You're not one of them. Why? SEN. ROGER MARSHALL: I was kind of waiting for the White House. I think at some point we have to follow the leadership of the White House COLLINS: So it depends on President Trump? MARSHALL: I think that's oversimplifying it

Turner: If there is an opportunity, as the vice president has laid out, for Iran to make a change, we have to take that opportunity. Collins: It’s the same leadership. Does that seem like that's changing to you? Turner: They made a declaration in the beginning of this conflict that they would never state that they would walk away from their nuclear ambitions. They just did. Collins: They’ve said that before. Turner: This is not the same situation. In midnight hammer, they just lost their underground nuclear enrichment. Collins: Then why was the war necessary?

Collins: What was your takeaways from the briefing? Gallego: We don't have a plan how to get out of this. We don't actually have a concept of victory. Our justification for going into the war is entirely different from what we're hearing from the president right now. If we don't know how we can get out of this war, we're seeing potentially a long term war.

#WATCH | Mumbai, Maharashtra: On Iran's 10-point proposal amid announcement on the ceasefire, Former Minister of State for External Affairs, MJ Akbar says, "I do not believe that a ceasefire could have been announced without a broad agreement on key factors. And obviously, Iran's nuclear program has to be one of the major factors, because if you don't have an agreement on that, then this is a hoax. But the point of fact is that one day before this war began, America and Iran had agreed, even on the language, which leaves the world perplexed as to what this war was about. Because over and over again, you say that the war is about nuclear weapons and Iran's potential. So if on the eve of the war, you had accepted an agreement in which Iran had also accepted America's language, then I think the war had to be an exercise in political hysteria, for purposes that are not fully comprehensible to the same world..."

Sen. Roger Marshall on Iran: "I'm supporting what President Trump is doing ... the doctor in me says the benefits of us being there outweigh the risks. We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. I don't want boots on the ground, I don't want a forever war, and yet we've got to pay attention to gas and groceries."

Blumenthal: What it tells me is that we are on the precipice, potentially of a catastrophic invasion, a operation to put troops on the ground, because none of these objectives can be accomplished by bombing alone.

Ossoff: I didn't think it was his best work, as nicknames go… But more to the point, he is increasingly unstable, and I think that it flows from the fact that he is globally humiliated from this failed war. This is a debacle for our national security. It is a debacle for the Trump presidency, and we see him lashing out and behaving erratically in ways that put the nation at risk.

Former Greek Finance Minister Varoufakis on the hypocrisy of Europe: "We are sending weapons to the Ukrainians in order to win a war that cannot be won, and as a result, Ukraine will be destroyed." This is exactly what is happening. The West has entered this war with Russia in Ukraine with the goal of defeating Russia, which is impossible. As a result, the war has been going on for four years and can only end with Russia's victory. Of course, Russia will gain territories that will be nothing but ruins if the West does not withdraw from this war.

Collins: You said you think that Ukraine is going to ultimately win this war. When you were talking behind closed doors and the U.S. president was there, is that a view that he seemed to share as well? Carney: We, the Germans, the UK, the French, all are of the view that the tide has turned in this war. It is a matter of time. Putin is going to lose this war.

Make that thrice. This is Mark Levin at CUFI last month: "'No boots on the ground,' they tell us—ever! You might as well retire the Marines and the Army! What do you think our enemies hear when we keep saying, 'No boots on the ground?' We motivate them!" "They say the Americans say, 'No boots on the ground'—well, they can't win a war by the air, so we'll outlast them!" "People say no more forever wars, well, this is how you get forever wars, isn't it?" He advocates for arming the Iranians, Kurds, or whoever, usually after these rants (and the same was true in this case), but the implication is clear.

Tucker Carlson gives a “super simple” explanation for why Israel would want to drag America into a hot war with Iran. “It’s hard to say this, but the United States didn’t make the decision here. Benjamin Netanyahu did.” “This happened because Israel wanted it to happen. This is Israel’s war. This is not the United States war.” “Why would Israel want this?” “Benjamin Netanyahu said yesterday, Iran’s nuclear program has been on the very verge, ‘the cusp’ of building and deploying a nuclear weapon.” “But if it was really about that, how could this threat have lasted for 40 years?” “So what was the point? What is the point of this from Israel’s perspective? Well, the point is regional hegemony. Super simple.”
