Colorism in the Coloured community is a deeply rooted issue, stemming from colonialism and apartheid, where lighter skin was often favored and associated with privilege, while darker skin was marginalized. Within families and communities, this internalized bias has led to painful divisions, teasing, and discrimination, often disguised as jokes...

Welcome To The Double Digits Club, Nnabuikem!!!!! My beloved son, Today you step into your double digits - ten years old! A whole decade of your life, and a decade of my 'becoming'. From the moment I carried you, I knew you were coming into this world with a purpose larger than anything I could fully explain. I have raised you through storms and silence, through struggle and strength, and through every season I have watched your spirit grow into something powerful, aware, and deeply awake. You are not just my child, you are my companion in consciousness & my reminder that the spirit chooses its path with intention. My proof that resilience can be inherited & incultcated. I have trained you to see beyond the surface of things - to feel energy, to understand truth, to stand in your own light even when the world tries to dim it. And you have embraced it with a maturity far beyond your years. Your strength is steady. My "father-in-law", your wisdom is natural and your spirit is ancient. As you turn ten, I want you to carry these words with you: #Walk with awareness - Trust your mind for it is sharp and your intuition, for it is strong. #Protect your spirit - it is not meant for everyone to understand. #Stand in your truth -;You come from a lineage of courage. Let it guide you. #Know that you are loved - Not just by me as your mother, but by God who formed you for a purpose. I am proud of the boy you are and excited for the man you are becoming. You are my son, my joy, my answered prayer, my handsel and my reminder that even in struggle, something beautiful can rise. Happy 10th birthday, my strong, conscious, powerful child. Your journey is only beginning, and I am honoured to walk beside you. With all my love, Mummy

Merry Christmas Eve, dwellers. 🎄🐲 I have a request from a friend that may apply to many people out there, but here are my thoughts… (I apologize for the lengthy response, but this topic is something I also care deeply about) You are doing better than you think. When you feel anxious, it becomes easy to downsize your own efforts. When you look at what you made, you focus only on what could be better. You compare it to an ideal that no one else is holding you to. With that mentality, you forget how much care, time, and effort you already put in. If you keep telling yourself that you are not good at anything, pause for a moment and understand this: that thought isn't true. Anxiety and low self-esteem change how you interpret your own work. Your mind learns to look for flaws and dismiss everything that went right. So even when you make something solid or meaningful, it feels small to you. That does not mean it is small. It means your perception is narrowed by fear and pressure. Perfectionism often hides behind self-criticism. If something is not flawless, your mind labels it as worthless. But that standard is impossible and unfair. Growth does not happen at the finish line. It happens in the unfinished, imperfect attempts you keep doing. The work you are making is not insignificant. It shows growth and someone who is learning while still trying. That matters far more than perfection ever will. You do not need to see your full potential right now. You do not need to prove your worth by being exceptional or reach some invisible standard to justify your effort. You just need to keep doing it and allow your work to exist as it is. Others can see the value even when you cannot. If you cannot see your potential right now, that is okay. You are not broken. You are not lazy. You are not wasting anything. These patterns were learned over time, and they can be unlearned with patience and support. You are not behind, and you are not failing.

Today's last sermon is on friendship. Choose your friends wisely and ensure that they add value to your life, rather than becoming a burden to you. This is a serious issue especially for high value individuals, your friendship network is intertwined with your success or failure in life. As Oprah Winfrey says, you can never have a friend who is jealousy of your successes and achievements. Some people come to your home not as friends but to see how you live, then they use that access as a stepping stone into destroying you out of jealousy and envy. These are the same people who will now try to justify their failures by saying, "he or she must have stolen somewhere or has a man doing it for them." Such friends are actually enemies of your progress, you don’t need them in your life! Avoid friends who never add anything to what you do, friends who only talk about sleeping with women or men, friends who only talk about partying and never discuss financial opportunities or ways to add value to your financial portfolios with you. There are men on this App whose whole and sole existence is based on gossip, telling lies about their friends, and fighting to delegitimise their supposed friends. Cut them off, you don’t need them! Choosing the right friends is an essential aspect of personal growth and happiness, it defines who you become, and who you become defines your legacy. It is important to surround yourself with people who celebrate and support your successes, rather than those who harbor jealousy or seek to undermine your achievements. Oprah's words serve as a reminder to be vigilant in identifying those who may not have your best interests at heart, some will even subtweet their so called friends on social media, their hatred is so strong to hide. Some individuals may disguise themselves as friends but are merely seeking opportunities to satisfy their own insecurities or malicious intentions. By avoiding such negative influences and seeking out friends who actively contribute to your personal and financial growth, you can create a supportive and uplifting environment conducive to your success through a positive network of friends. True friends will not only encourage you to do better, but will also inspire you to reach new heights and make positive changes in your life. Friendship is not about supporting you in continuing to do things that don’t add value, true friendship is about telling you what doesn’t work and helping you navigate a plan that does work. Bad friends don’t say anything even when they see you sinking into a sea of failure and mediocrity, they laugh at you behind your back. Real friends tell you the painful truth to help you fix your problems and become a better person. Bad friends destroy careers and eventually will destroy you too!! When your parents say they don’t like your friends, it is because they have seen something wrong with the people around you. Now that you are an adult, you must have a BS antenna. Cut off useless friends from your life!
