This app uses AirDrop to send files from your Android phone to your Macbook! Yes, it actually uses AirDrop. That means you don't have to install ANYTHING on your Mac to send files from your Android phone! Here's a video of a Galaxy Z Flip 5 AirDropping a file to a Macbook running macOS Ventura 13.5.1. (Thanks to u/FragmentedChicken for testing this app for me and sharing the video!) A few months ago, Twitter user @Linus13499209 brought an app called WarpShare to my attention. WarpShare is an app made by the developers of MoKee, an AOSP-based custom ROM that was popular in China. Since MoKee wasn't as popular outside of China, it seems the existence of their WarpShare app slipped under the radar. I was skeptical about whether it would work at all. Grishka, the developer of NearDrop, an open source port of Google's Nearby Share to macOS, told me that they were under the assumption that AirDrop requires the use of AWDL (Apple Wireless Direct Link, Apple's proprietary WiFi-based protocol) to communicate both ways. However, it seems that AWDL is only required for your Android phone to be discoverable by your Mac (ie. to send files from your Mac to your Android phone) but not the other way around. Because of this, though, WarpShare only supports sending files from Android to Mac but not vice versa. Your Mac also needs to have AirDrop discoverability set to "everyone" for this to work, as "contacts-only" requires Apple-signed certificates. Plus, it also doesn't support sending files from Android to iPhones or iPads, even when "everyone" mode is enabled. Still, if you find other Android --> Mac file sharing options to be lackluster, give WarpShare a try! The fact that it works at all is incredible, which is why I'm sharing this news here. If you want to download WarpShare on your Android device, you'll need to compile the app from its source code. If you're a Patron/X subscriber, however, I will share my compiled APK with you. I updated the website! Take a look at all the categories and art that @DollyJKazoo designed! It was so cool being able to make art for all of the products we have. The collections have grown so much over the years that we just needed to do a makeover so we can fit all of our items on the home page and make it look more pretty~ Also a sneak peek of our mascot Baby Finn the Giraffe making a comeback! Lastly, I realized after I recorded this, so the tabs at the bottom will only be available on the website if you want to have an easier log-in experience. Which the app is available on Apple and Android. Just search “Lil Comforts” on your appstore!

I’m excited to introduce Artist Commons, a year-long, online development program for early- and mid-career artists. Applications open next week, and the program starts in mid-January. ➤ Do you want to learn more about how to navigate the business of art? ➤ Do you want an artist community invested in your longterm growth? ➤ Do you want real feedback on your work instead of just some kind words from your friends? If you’ve been looking for a way to level up your art practice without spending an arm and a leg to get an MFA, Artist Commons is for you. Artists accepted into the program are paired with a mentor and a small cohort of peers at their level for weekly feedback sessions. Then tune in every month to lectures on the business of art, craft workshops from visiting artists, talks on various modern and contemporary art movements, and guest speakers working across the art world. Sneak peek from the lab. Work in progress of the real-time face tracking, via iPhone, Clone v2 cinematic rig. Simple viewport capture, no lighting or shading. Effective expression capture is key for conveying emotions accurately with your Clones. Our new cinematic rig has been constructed with flexibility in mind. We've carefully refined the 52 blend shapes that drive the facial expressions, and the face controls themselves, to achieve a more natural look. We have more iteration cycles to go through before we hit our target but you can already see a great difference from v1. This upgrade opens up a world of possibilities, from high-fidelity dynamic VRMs adaptable to various platforms to virtual production capabilities and V-Tubing with improved face filters. Our goal is simple: To help eliminate technical barriers and provide a more seamless and inclusive utility for all of our community, all while ensuring quality remains at the core of everything we do.

AND IT’S LIVE AND WORKING Check it out, you can have a “Circle” which is our version of Discord servers. But notice all of your content is right there so your community never misses anything you post on any platform. And HotDrop does that work for you. If someone had a two-year sub badge and a moderator sword on your Twitch, then it shows up on their name in your Circle automatically. We also have a feed with no algorithm trying to analyze you. We wanted to replicate the old Destiny community days of social media back in D1. The goal is to create a space just for content creators and their communities.
