Combat so far doesn't feel great. It really is just mashing square. Spider-Man is kind of the same thing, but at least he's quick and nimble, which made combat feel more free flowing. Here, it feels heavy and clunky. Also the camera is so bad, it makes it hard... to keep focus.show more

Mashing square is simply the basic attacks. The key is use triagle to do the lunge. Doing a combo then using triangle as the combo ender which acts as an AOE interrupt, and holding square to kick enemies into walls which instantly stuns them allowing you to do the barrage

It’s not though I played 30 minutes yesterday and was mixing heavy attacks (triangle), lunges ( L1+ triangle), dodging. You only mash square because YOU CHOOSE TO DO IT

No all YOU'RE doing is mashing square. I don't see any heavy combos or finishers or dodges. You parry/barrage one time in the beginning and then just go brain dead

You do realize you can use the environment to kill people and he has tons of combos besides just pressing square. You can also lock on to each enemy so the camera focuses on them. You're just mashing buttons because you want to, not because of the game. This is all user error.
