My hot take: Final Fantasy XVI has my favorite combat in the series and it has no RPG mechanics. it's just simple fun This is not me saying it is the best, only that I find a lot of enjoyment in it. I think it's okay to realize that there are people who enjoy this take on gameplay as well. Those who will grow up with these modern FF titles will look back on it, and eventually want to see something like it return.
