In WW2, Germany built the Battleship Bismarck which at the time thought it projected power and ruled the seas. But was obsolete before it even left port. They could have built 40 more u-boats for the same price which would have made a massive more difference.

Ok, I’m no naval historian but we went away from battleships after ww2 because of how easy they are of being attack by aircraft carriers. Bismarck, Yamato, Pearl Harbor, battle of midway are all great examples of big ships becoming big coral reefs. Having this thing is cool but

The battleship could carry bigger guns than any other ship. That was the whole USP. This design just has more VLS tubes - but they are the same tubes filled with the same missiles as all the other ships, just more of them. So how is this better than 2, 3 or even 4 smaller ships? More flexible, more manoeuvrable, easier to build and service. What is the point?
