i prefer aaliyah’s. i’m not a fan of the overly breathy/seductive delivery they were doing.

Either version will go. Changing faces version feels more fuller and sultrier she wants to see this man and do things to him. On the bridge you feel her desperation to come over changing faces is sultry until the end when she starts belting and letting him know let me over NOW. Aaliyah version has more swagger and her harmonies are more interesting. This version feels confident almost letting him know if you don’t let me come over your missing out. She playing it cool until the end but instead of belting she starts doing those harmonies almost like she’s crying; she cracks please say yes. Both are very interesting they tell the same stories but Both singers approach each part differently. Just a matter of the ear I love both But I’d go with Aaliyah’s version.

Come Over by Aaliyah was recorded in 1999, and was unreleased after decided won’t be used for her Aaliyah album until her posthumous compilation album in 2002. Changing Face were given song in 2000. Both versions rock.

Uhhh Changing Faces breathing so hard trying to sound seductive and sensual. They were never really good singers to me. No real vocal agility from the duo. They had nice lil songs but vocally they never did it for me. Aaliyah version is "THE ONE" delivers it better vocally.

Interesting that they’re only 2 years apart.
