That’s the kind word. God how I loathe these people.

I just dont understand when i see things like that in the uk. Especially at music festivals too. Who has money to throw away a tent? Its so expensive!

I’ve been camping / hiking in the Lakes this week & whilst I was relieved not to come across depressing scenes like this I did pick up litter on the fells as & when I saw it. Perhaps dropped unintentionally but this, cannot understand the mentality of these divs. Infuriating 🤬

When I lived here I used to carry a bin liner. I'd have needed a few for this

F%$king disgusting behaviour.

Absolutely disgusting what is wrong with people. When I was a kid I was taught ‘leave no trace camping’ and still practice the concept today.

Mate. You’ve no idea how bad it’s been since you left Cumbria 💔😢😢 Things are happening and a changing though which is good. But it’ll take time to stem and then turn the tide of this selfish and irresponsible behaviour.

One of the reasons I left. It would only have been a matter of time before I wrapped some fecker in anchor chain and dropped them over the side at Silver Point. ps - I was sitting with a pint of Gold at Dufton on Wednesday. Gorgeous pint.

@terrybnd Sadly it only takes a small percentage of scumbags like this to ruin it for everyone

Absolutely disgusting. Why can’t people take their rubbish home?

Have they been raptured?! I just don't understand the mental workings of we'll just leave all this crap here.

How hard is it to take your stuff back with you? Repulsive, so depressing to see this.

@ecolitical I consider myself pretty woke but some folks need a year of doing hard labour every weekend

It boils my piss to see this. So sad that people can do this. The amount of rubbish I've took down with me over the years. Its getting worse as well. Won't be long before they stop camping altogether.

Nowhere is safe from idiots.

In our teens back in the 80s we used to camp at Ullswater, a lot. It was ingrained in us to leave nothing but our breaths, and maybe a fart or two. We've lost our way, no respect.

Properly shocking and I’m surprised they have actually gone to some elevation too. I did an 80 mile loop round the lakes this summer. For the most part all was ok when up but did see some unacceptable things when near the lakes and rivers :-(

@terrybnd Sometimes take dog for walk up Dunmallard: I see woodpeckers, buzzards& joy of joy, a red deer the other day. I also pick up cans&drink debris. Every. Single. Time. If u hv consumed Red Bull or Monster energy drinks, then u hv the flipping energy to carry the empty to a bin! 😠

@terrybnd Boils my piss. As someone who when younger wild camped pretty much everywhere in Lakeland I never left anything more than flattened grass.

I was in Buttermere today.

Indefensible. I’d shoot the feckin lot of em.

How awful and so disrespectful

🤷♂️🤦♂️🤬

I can't understand these people, why can't they take their crap with them.

@terrybnd Makes me furious.

Absolute scumbags🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

That's just horribly disrespectful

If you can carry something up a hill or, to a campsite, you can carry the damn stuff home.

Horrible bastards What is wrong with people today? Absolutely no respect - its all me me me. Entitled fuckers
Scum on earth

@dicofran Just think what the human race is going to do to Mars !

As a past hillwalker and backpacker who loved, respected and cared for our wild places from the 70s until a few yrs back I find footage like this (too much of it) extremely saddening. I'm glad I don't encounter it for real now.

It’s very sad to see this video. But rather than letting our anger end with “who is to blame?”, perhaps we should turn it into a question of “what can we do to prevent this from happening again?” That may be the most constructive way forward. Japan, like the UK, is also steadily working to tackle the problem of litter. 🌿🇯🇵

Appalling. I’ve been wanting to visit the Lake District again for all the decades since I’ve been there! What sort of people do this?

Never happened before social media. It absolutely sickens me.

Absolutely fuming 🤬🤬🤬
