Comer: "We're gonna support doing this in other cities if it works out in Washington DC. We spend a lot on our military. Our military has been in many countries around the world for the past two decades walking the streets trying to reduce crime. We need to focus... show more

"In Washington DC, the most powerful city in the world, we should have a world-class stadium - not a situation where Taylor Swift says we're doing 23 cities but not DC, because we're not going to that place in Landover."

"You can't solve the crime problem by sending the National Guard. We're Americans. We don't like the military on our streets. We're not a tinpot dictatorship." Me on NewsNation tonight on Trump's latest authoritarian "power grab" in Washington DC.

Time to clean up crime on the streets in my hometown of Cincinnati. And we’ll do it in the other great cities across our state too. Walked the streets this week.

President Trump gave the RNC a MANDATE to focus on election integrity, and that's what we are doing. "We need to make sure that our country has confidence in the outcomes of elections. That is the focus of this President, and that is the focus of his Republican National Committee." - RNC Senior Advisor Danielle Alvarez

Trump: "If necessary we'll investigate the drug companies and we'll in particular investigate the countries that are doing this and we will add it on to the price that we charge them for doing business in America. In other words, we'll add it on to tariffs."

“We, as the Venezuelan people, as Caribbean people, as the people of the Liberators, will not allow them to set their insolent foothold here in Venezuela. We will not allow it. We are in the streets today, and we will remain in the streets, holding vigils and safeguarding Venezuela's institutions, because first, our Constitution must be respected, and second, we are a sovereign and independent people. Today, in response to Donald Trump's statements, we reject this by remaining in the streets and by supporting the Venezuelan military high command, while also making this known to the entire world. We demand that all the peoples of the world speak out against this violation of our rights. Venezuela has been a country that has opened its doors to many countries around the world. Venezuela has extended a helping hand to many governments around the world. Today, the Venezuelan people demand that all the peoples of the world also speak out against this situation that is attacking our identity.”

Look at what the president is doing: Attacking the judiciary. Attacking free press. Using fear to intimidate. Trying to normalize the U.S. military in our streets. This is not normal. This is not American. These are attacks on the very pillars of our democracy.

“An empire is a country that controls other countries, and we are one. The United States has more control in the world than any other country. We spend more on our military than the next ten countries combined, including China and Russia. We have around 740 military bases around the world and there are only 198 recognized countries by the UN. One of our biggest enemies right now is Iran, and they have basically zero foreign bases while we have hundreds.” Michael T. Lester

"We build our American cities around fire trucks… …We should design our cities, then make the fire trucks fit." In America, we have the largest fire trucks in the world— and they’re quietly shaping how our cities look, feel, and function. In this clip with Austin Tunnell , we break down how one overlooked policy is leading to worse urban design.
