If you're new to apps, you need to use XcodeBuildMCP. It takes all the rough edges out of working with Codex or Claude Code and Xcode. Your agent can build and run your app, and even check the UI to see if it looks good via Apple Accessibility APIs.

How to use the new Icon Composer with an existing Xcode project: 1. Make a new icon file 2. Drag it into your Xcode project (Move into) 3. Xcode should prioritize that over previous AppIcon files 4. Close the Icon Composer file 5. Click on Icon in Xcode 6. Open in Icon Composer (Make edits now) Things to Note: 1. Xcode will render the new static icon for previous macOS versions (Sequioa) 2. If you drag the app icon around your Dock, you may not see the app icon update unless you drag it off the Dock (Stop the app) 3. You may need to Clean + Run to see the icon update 4. Change the "Primary App Icon Set Name" to choose between multiple Composer files.

You can't build iOS apps without a Mac, so we gave Devin one. Devin Cloud Agents now run macOS, with Xcode, iOS simulator, and your signing setup, all in a real macOS environment (with full computer use). In this demo, Devin builds a native iOS game, then plays and tests it with computer use. Devin then sends a screen recording of the gameplay along with a test report for my review. With Namespace you get as many macOS environments as you'd like, configurable with many major versions of macOS operating system and Xcode.

iOS 27 now supports ScreenCaptureKit ✌️ Few Notes: 1. As of Xcode 27 Beta 2, ScreenCaptureKit can only be imported when you select a physical device in the device selector. If you select a simulator, your project will not build. This limitation may be removed in future releases. 2. If you want to continue recording the screen when your app goes into the background, Xcode 27 introduces a new "Screen Capture" background mode. Enabling this allows the recording to continue seamlessly. 3. In iOS 27, ScreenCaptureKit introduces a new SwiftUI modifier called recordingEditor. By passing a binding URL for the recording file, this modifier automatically opens a new view that allows you to trim and save the recorded video.
