@MarchForRejoin Ukraine will be a win-win for EU sooner or later. But we shouldn't forget that right negotiations and democratic structures are also important. EU is strong .But many problems are caused by undemocratic countries like Orban's Hungary. For this situation we need solutions. Ideas?

The Republic of North Cyprus is not in EU. You didn’t change this reality by not recognizing it, or by showing the whole island as Cyprus on the map. You still can’t change it. What do you suggest we do about the SEZ's and Freeports that in their current guise don't align with the EU's idealogues? It won't be easy to back out of those and big corp will just be able to sue the UK government.

If the EU insists they go before we join (we had them before when we were in the EU), then we close them. If gov loses in court, pay the compensation. It'll be a drop in the ocean compared to gains from EU membership. Really simple. 👌

If only it were that simple, which it isn't. I'd love to have some sort of association with the EU that would help our economy to recover. I just see Freeports and SEZ's being a major blocker.

An expansionist EU is a danger to world peace. Europe greedily eyeing up eastern territories, we have seen the result of that a few times in history.
