@TheRestHistory ...the FIRST historical figure on the show...? Well, it's OK. I guess (slams door)

@TheRestHistory I've said it before, but there are loads of stars, there are quite a few superstars, there are a small number of megastars, and then there is Paul McCartney, who stands alone above all of them.

@TheRestHistory Yes indeed!

@TheRestHistory 🙌🫶✌️ love this, @holland_tom

@ClarkHistoryPol @TheRestHistory "Well that's quite an intro" said in the same way as if he was a retired brickie from Liverpool

@TheRestHistory Bravo! That was brilliant. Of all the hundreds of interviews I've read or heard with the great man, I don't think Paul McCartney has called the Beatles music "bardic" before. A perfect description. The stuff about his mother's midwifery and the Battle of Hastings was wonderful.

@TheRestHistory Thank you, Stephen!

@TheRestHistory Gosh Tom you really work all hours; almost eight days a week….

@TheRestHistory I find it so cool that in following your passion you've introduced tons of people to theirs. Or at least hobbies. Love the work you guys do.

@TheRestHistory The Rest is History is probably one of the best things to come out of the Covid era.

@TheRestHistory My favourite podcast with the greatest son of my city as a guest. Is right!

@TheRestHistory Bless you both. @mrianleslie's absolutely wonderful & truly great encomium is worth a revisit for those wanting to get their vibe on...

@TheRestHistory Amazing. I'm so glad to see Paul getting the credit he deserves lately.

@TheRestHistory Paul McCartney commending your intro! That's quite literally a compliment from the man who wrote the intros to "Eleanor Rigby", "Paperback Writer", "Hey Jude", "Come Together", "Live and Let Die" and the Frog Song.

@TheRestHistory Can’t wait !!! Brilliant

@TheRestHistory Love him/this ⚡️

@TheRestHistory My absolute fave musician from my fave band on my fave podcast🤩

@TheRestHistory Friend of the podcast. #SirPaulMcCartney

@TheRestHistory Modern conception of world-historical figure is a pop musician...

@TheRestHistory Very good, Tom. Out of 10, exactly how excited about this do you remain?

@TheRestHistory Looking forward to this. You call it right I think. McCartney (and, sorry to your co-host…) Lennon rank alongside Shakespeare as figures from Englands cultural past who shaped everything that followed. Easily the most influential British figure of the century.

@TheRestHistory Conan eat your heart out.

@TheRestHistory You have no idea how delighted I am for you to have met Paul at Abbey Road and interviewed him. Wonderful interview too. So thrilled for you! (Pat from the pub quiz - many moons ago)

@TheRestHistory Where's @ConanOBrien?

@TheRestHistory Friend of the show, Macca.

@TheRestHistory The best human being on the planet 🐦⬛🌈🐦⬛

@TheRestHistory Tom I'm reading Autumn in the Heavenly Kingdom by Stephen Platt, and think it's a great book for an episode! Probably a series of episodes. Lots of echoes of great power struggles pertinent to east/west today.

@TheRestHistory I'm still on the Battle of Snickers episode👍

@TheRestHistory can't ffffffin wait man

@TheRestHistory A fellow leftie and Waterloo Day baby.

@TheRestHistory Crazy that it's hardly an exaggeration

@TheRestHistory This is @GaryLineker erasure and I will not stand for it

@TheRestHistory @peterlanee and another podcast!

@TheRestHistory Este crossover es lo más.

@TheRestHistory Phenomenal! Just as @dcsandbrook showed up the stable mates on The Rest is Fascism, you beat @richardosman Sir Paul has been a staple In My Life. This was the best I have ever seen him, the flow, the ending! WoW🙌 Thanks for TRIH, Dominion and this 🥃 @ConanOBrien 😇

@TheRestHistory How does Sir Paul rank compared to Darius the Great, King of Kings? Has he impaled anyone recently?

@TheRestHistory Sickkkkkkkkkkkkkk
