Commanding the screen while squaring up against the likes of Ed Harris and a murderers row of prime character actors, one of the many great feats in an illustrious career. RIP Tony Todd

Best death scene in the movie.

The man had Candyman, The Crow and the Rock, one right after the other, and those three alone show what incredible range he had.

I love the dialogue part of the scene, but the geography and shot framing goes a bit wonky once the shooting starts. Bay has gotten MUCH more disciplined in the years since.

Yeah, though I like that even with the roughness of his early Bayhem, its still so distinct. Even back then you could tell just by looking what a Michael Bay film was. Practical destruction, variable frame rates, askew angles, all make a shootout in a room feel like a battlefield

Even more impressive considering just how fucking great Ed Harris is in that movie. David Morse, Bokeem Woodbine, and Gregory Sporleder are great, too.

Will be my favorite Bay forever, if only because he takes that inkling of plausibility in Hummel’s reasoning and sells you on it *just enough*, without even too much to judge Todd’s character. After all, where *is* the money?

My introduction and still my favorite role of his. “I don’t like soft ass shit.”
