Love the fact that Arnie fought Bill Duke in this movie, but 2 years later they teamed up to fight the Predator. Too bad Bill Duke got blasted away in both.

It was the peak of 80’s action films. Everyone knew dialogue was not Arnold’s strongest skill. Hell, even he knew that. Arnie was never going to be mistakingly identified as a Shakespearean theater performer. Having him tell corny dad jokes as he zorched bad guys actually worked out better than any serious line ever could. It somehow balanced out his characters’ overt violence, which made Arnold even more likable as an action hero. I’m glad they kept the cheesy dialogue going for his other movies.
