I'm so glad that Commissioner Baloyi had this conversation with W/O Sander about his application for early retirement. I think the Commission will recommend that he be retained for his skills and be promoted and rewarded accordingly. They did that with Colonel Thepa, EMPD who was abused by her seniors. It was sad but became a light moment when Commissioner Baloyi said "Let's assume your application is not approved..." and he quickly said "please don't say that.." 😭😂 No Warrant Officer, we cannot afford to lose you. The country needs you now more than ever Sir. Get to that 42 years and more if possible. Thanks again for your service and sorry for your pain. We owe you. 🙏🏽 #MadlangaCommission

So Brown Mogotsi apparently had bodyguards. I don't know who arranged security protection for him, you might find it was the State, as a witness at the Commission. They guarded him even when he went shopping at the mall. 😅 So, since he's not very smart, on that day of the alleged shooting, he released his bodyguards at 17h30 and said he won't need them. Commissioner Khumalo has a rare gift, an ability to make people, both witnesses and lawyers, who are in a defensive mode, to sober up, let their guard down, hear him clearly, and end up conceding to whatever they were in denial of. He comes with a soft tone, but hardline approach, to basically cut to the chase. As a Judge, if he were to become one, I know he has acted as one before, he would send people to prison very nicely, having made them to admit their sins and become remorseful in the process. 😅 Advocate Khan wanted to be given a chance to revise their Application for in camera hearing and submit the changes on Friday. Apparently in law, you can't do that. (I'll post a video where Commissioner Baloyi captures this well). They were advised to rather withdraw the motion and submit a fresh application. After a lengthy exchange with Chair and Commissioner Baloyi, this is how Com. Khumalo just wrapped it up nicely, softly, and boom, we were done! 😂 Hence I say this is truly a special gift. #MadlangaCommission

She says, the team made up of Investigators, is given all documents to refer to when they meet to decide the way forward for the investigation.
