@samgeorgegh I don’t even understand how and why you need a whole committee to reduce data cost as “the sector minister” But once again, this is Ghana

@samgeorgegh U see why a PhD is not useless. It's a normal procedure for institutions. Committees are vital, It comprises of individuals with different ideologies from various backgrounds in relation to the subject matter which may reflect the concerns of the customers and service providers.

@samgeorgegh The reason why he needs a committee is that the Telcos are private entities and they have to be engaged and negotiated with to agree on the rates. Government must also play a part in this it’s not just a decision of government alone

@samgeorgegh Efo Kofi, I disagree with you on this. I am inclined to believe that before a sector minister issues an order to telcos to reduce their prices, he must be in the know as to how things work and what the technical implications will be. So he has to get into the details first.
