Today is 2nd April and none, I repeat, it hasn’t been delivered. Yet the NDC went ahead and gave the same Sam George 3,000,000,000 GHC yesterday to boost AI in the country.

Today was Day 1 of the rollout of courses under the #OMCP. I am excited about the number of young Ghanaians who logged in online and visited our learning centres in all 16 Regions today. There were challenges in some locations, but the team is working around the clock to address them as they arise, and I am hopeful that by the end of the week, we will be fully operational. This remains a huge investment in the people of our Country by John Dramani Mahama. I am humbled and privileged to play a part in this mega project. If you haven't signed on yet, get on board now. Today the Gauteng Government awarded completion certificates to more than 2 500 participants of the Unemployed Youth Skills Development Initiative (UYSDI) in Soweto. These learners participated in various skills training programmes across 71 Technical High Schools in Gauteng, including plumbing, electrical work, welding, painting and other artisan-related trades under the UYSDI programme. The UYSDI aims to equip unemployed youth with practical, job-ready skills aligned to high-demand and labour-intensive sectors of the economy. Starting 13 April 2026, applicants can enrol for 6‑month or 1‑year hands‑on training across accredited centres nationwide, with a monthly N22,500 stipend and nationally recognised certification. The initiative, aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Bola Ahmed Tinubu), expands training into high‑demand sectors including ICT, construction, creative media, agriculture, fashion, hospitality, and more. The Ministry of Education (Federal Ministry of Education) is also partnering with the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism to strengthen creative‑industry skills.
