Communists shouldn’t be anti religion

As a Druze I’m religious myself too and I’m still able to have my personal religious beliefs while understanding the material conditions of the working class and the necessity to achieve a communist revolution

I also think we would alienate a big part of the working class if we are extremely anti religious towards them, we can easily appeal to them through our viewpoints if we don’t do that, and we can just let them know we support it as a personal matter

Facts majority of worlds working class is religious being anti religious is against worker solidarity worldwide

IMHO, taking the money and institutional power away from religion would allow it actually function in helping people with immaterial aspects of conscious life. organized religion having material interests is what corrupts it. A state that takes care if its people prevents that.

Kwame Ture had a great bit about this in one of his university speeches, how he was told in his organizing training to push people away from religion and when he got down south he was surprised to learn all the meetings he was going to were in churches
