Compagno: Mamdani is talking about handouts. He is talking about gimmicks. The reason older people think of socialism as bread lines is because they lived through World War II and through communist adventures..

.@EmilyCompagno was told this by one of her overseers at Fox. It never occurred to consider that infants born as WW2 ended are already 80 and voting adults are 100+ Also, breadlines? Hoover Administration. GOP. 1929-33 Nice try Foxbot

Bread lines? In this economy, it’s billionaires lining up for government contracts while you blame food stamps.

Older folks get SS and Medicare. Those are social programs. Rs are trying to scale back those programs. Seems to me they’re kinda pissed about losing that socialism.

He quite literally wants govt run grocery stores Grocery stores have about a 1% profit margin Meaning if somehow govt was more efficient at it and cut the profit margin - you would save $1 per $100 spent You pay more on sales tax. So yes, this is true, gimmicks.

A state owned liquor store is not a hand out. We already have them in 17 states, including mine.
