And that's the Netherlands, an "expensive" European country. Wait till you go to Poland and Hungary.

They won’t put up with it. But Americans will defend billionaires and corporations with their dying breath.

And the Dutchees go to shop in Germany as its 20-30% cheaper for cosmetics...

He’s in a Walgreens which is significantly more expensive than buying the same product at a grocery store / Walmart / etc.

I'm from the UK and toured the USA earlier this year for 4 months. I spent a lot of time in supermarkets and couldn't find a single thing that was cheaper and when it came to food the quality was worse as well. Americans are getting shafted on price and quality.

And mind you the Netherlands is one of the most expensive countries in Europe! If you go to Spain these prices will be divided by 2

And in addition to being cheaper, European products are subject to EU regulations that protect consumers.

The Euro is also worth more than the USD, so take those numbers shown in the NL and reduce them by about 15%, for extra-special rage.

Dutch here, and these Dutch prices are inflated. We do groceries in Germany these days cutting prices almost in half.

The video is total bullshit. Bandaids aren’t $10.49. They’re $1.79 or two for $2.69 The whole video is manufactured nonsense showing an expensive variants in one instance then a completely different product in the counter clip.

Yeah, America’s economy collapsed for like 75% of the people.. we’re in end stage capitalism, with hyperinflation and rapidly approaching de-dollarization and likely de-banking for many folks.

20 eggs

He’s in a discount store called „ACTION“. They sell cheap, low-cost goods there.

The prices in Germany are even slightly lower than those in the Netherlands. Our VAT is a bit lower, also.

Trump's tariffs... paid by US costumers.

Wanna hear another fun fact? The Dutch prices already have all taxes included.

And this is overlooking the fact that the price tag in America is without tax, which means the final price at checkout will be even higher, whereas in NL (I'm assuming it's Netherlands) the tax is already included on the price tag and there will be no increase at checkout

Americans have been overcharged for many years now. Sad that some people don't realize it because they just live in their little bubble and have no idea what it is like in the rest of the world. Y'all go watch some shopping haul videos in the UK and EU. It will piss you off.

America is a giant conspiracy by very rich people to rip off ordinary Americans.

Now do food. I get culture shock from the inflated prices every time I visit my family in the USA. And they get culture shock from the reasonable prices every time they visit me in Germany.

Wow a country with 60% of the US GDP per capita is cheaper. You want really cheap you can go to Vietnam totally will blow your mind.

Yes used to travel for work, the US is unreasonably expensive, hearing from those that are still going. Something is seriously wrong with the western economies.

Europe ‘or another country’. 🤦♂️

Even dollar tree has raised their prices

Why anyone gives their business to CVS is insane. They operate solely on predatory pricing

Are these USA prices real??? I live in Belgium and can say the prices he shows in The Netherlands store are comparable with those in Belgium.

Who tf shops at Walgreens 😂

Please consider that price labels in europe include VAT, in the US you have to add the VAT to the exposed price.

Had a doctor come to my hotel to tend to my sick wife. He wrote the prescriptions, I walked a short distance to the drugstore, and came out with codeine, antibiotics, and 2 types of inhalers for < $10 (I converted when I got home).

Just don't look at medicine prices, or you'll have a heart attack.

And Etos is like a more expensive chain. Kruidvat and Trekpleister being more budget friendly.

A small bottle of axe deo spray is 7.50 euro here in the Netherlands. That's 8.79 usd. It's like double the price of in say Germany. USA is a bit more expensive but has way higher pay as well. And taxes in USA are generally lower. Here you have to wait for discounts on certain products as they charge double the price normally, and then while doing a "discount" they give 1 extra for "free", which is actually the normal price. They blame the consumers for wanting it like that as Dutch want discounts lolol. Net result is that when you go shopping only 10 percent of the stuff you buy has this discount (price as it should be), so we end up paying way too much and hence why it's better for many to drive over the border and shop in Germany or Belgium.

It’s more expensive in US than in Norway😱

Well… US wages are significantly higher, so…?
