Peter Thiel on how to think about the future “What you end up doing when you think of the future as indefinite is you pick a job that will be good on your resume because it will then lead to a different job later on.” Instead of viewing the future as indefinite, Thiel suggests that the students in the audience think of the future on three horizons: short term, medium term, and long term. And he defines them as follows: 1. Short term = Are you going to be happy and will you be learning a lot? 2. Medium term = How good is it on your resume? 3. Long term = Are you working on something important or meaningful? “I think we are in a skewed world where we overweight the medium term, and we underweight some combination of the short term and the long term.” Thiel recommends recalibrating it to: “Focus on some combination of short term and long term. I wanted to talk about the “harem” aspect of Chitose Is In The Ramune Bottle and how I feel it’s done differently than most “harem” shows. First of all yes all the heroines do have feelings for Saku, yes each of them know that they all have feelings for him and each heroine have a unique relationship with Saku when it comes down to their conversations and how they hang out. I think the biggest difference from other romcom/harem protagonist is Saku himself and how he is aware of all the girls liking him but because of his philosophy (the video i posted shows what Saku thinks about “falling in love”) he chooses not to pursue a relationship with anyone. The nature of the protagonist and the nature of the story/set up I feel is what makes it different from any other romcoms, it also doesn’t help that the author makes good cases for why Saku should be with (insert heroine) every moment with the cast feels like they can be a couple in any other series.

It’s not JUST about the risks… it’s about the risks AND benefits All treatments for pain come with some rare but very serious adverse events… such as medications and even exercise! But spinal manipulations do not have any significant benefits for pain or function in the short or long term over placebos or other less risky treatments! So what’s the point! If the benefits of the treatment are non significant and other safer alternatives exist then it doesn’t matter how small the risks are… it’s just not worth! Now for all the comments of those with bias and deeply vested interests desperately trying to justify the use of manips by contorting themselves and the narrative into some extreme positions! 😎
