@Space_Station How do the TROPICS cube-sats avoid tumbling around due to the counter-acting force of mechanically rotating their scanners?

First, the TROPICS payload cube is balanced to minimize any wobble about its rotation axis. Second, and most importantly, reaction wheels inside the spacecraft counteract the momentum of the rotating payload to keep the spacecraft stable and pointed at the earth. Third, any residual motion errors are largely removed during ground processing using attitude knowledge derived from onboard star trackers and knowledge of the payload scan angle relative to the bus.
