Really enjoyed all that, made a custom node for Cycles so I don't need to bother recreating it everytime and keeps things organized!

That's sick!

Woah! Actually I stumbled upon this same issue while I was working replicating some 3d scans for polished granites and marble. One another way i found to replicate the effect in blender cycles is to use a white noise texture as a factor to blend between the two roughness values.

Really enjoying this video, incredibly helpful!

The amount of value in this is crazy thanks for sharing

I watched the video and now I can't stop seeing this everywhere

So good

Great

Ik im not the intended audience but this has been helpful for rendering metal in 2D illustrative art as well, thank you!

The goat is back with another one

Just saw it yesterday. I used to somewhat do this with clear coat in vray, but the way you did it made it so much better. Thank you for the research and the video!

This is an excellent tutorial, thank you for sharing. It reminds me of Grant Warwick's V-Ray material tutorials, back when it was still version 3.

Very cool!

Soooo good. Thank you for this!

Yes please

Worth a watch for the knowledge even if you don't do offline rendering.

Amazing video.

Game changing. Never going to do metal the same
