COMPUTER PAINTINGS: THE BIG GRIND Grinding isn’t a side effect — it’s the foundation. I grind to create. To push through doubt. To give everything I have. If you’re getting a work of mine, you’re getting all of me. That’s the vision. That’s the standard. Here’s how I moved...

The past year has seen me have a renaissance, in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.

watched a guy stream yesterday. 1000 games this season. same rank. but here's what he did: posted a highlight clip. "consistency is key" talked about his "grind mindset" made a tier list video about matchups. created content about his journey. everyone in chat: "grind god, keep pushing" but nobody asked: why are you still here? 1000 games. still master tier. that's not a grind. that's an addiction. here's the brutal truth: grinding FEELS productive. you're playing. you're improving. you're getting better. except you're not. you're just busy. the highlights you post? that's 1 out of 50 games. the other 49? you're making the same mistakes. the same positioning. the same macro decisions. but the GRIND itself feels good. because grind = progress in your mind. virgin grinder: plays 100 games, reviews nothing, posts highlights, calls it a grind chad improver: plays 10 games, reviews every one, makes changes, climbs but the virgin FEELS like he's doing more. feels like he's working harder. feels like he DESERVES to climb. here's what actually happens: you play 1000 games without CHANGING anything. your brain gets addicted to the effort. to the routine. to the FEELING of grinding. "i played 8 hours today" → dopamine hit im up 50 lp! so. you're still not good at the game the disconnect breaks your brain so you post another highlight and tell yourself "consistency" consistency at WHAT? being hardstuck? watched another guy play 200 games. changed his mindset. climbed 2 divisions. why? because he didn't grind. he ADAPTED. the grind is EASY. you just queue. you just play. you just show up. but actually IMPROVING? that's hard. that's thinking. that's admitting you were wrong. that's changing habits. most of you will never do that because the grind is COMFORTABLE. it FEELS like you're working. it FEELS like progress. it FEELS like you deserve the climb. but more games does not equal results. your friends see you playing 8 hours a day and think you're dedicated. but you're not dedicated. you're ADDICTED. addicted to the feeling of "grinding". addicted to the routine. here's the uncomfortable truth: if you've played 500+ games and haven't ranked up significantly, you're not hardstuck. you're COMFORTABLE. you like grinding more than you like climbing. because climbing requires CHANGE and change is terrifying. grinding is safe. grinding has no accountability. grinding lets you post highlights and say "progress" but climbing? climbing forces you to admit: i was wrong. my playstyle is bad. i need to change fundamentally. that's painful. so you grind instead. you grind and you grind and you grind and you tell yourself the climb will come. but it won't. not until you stop grinding and start CHANGING. the saddest part? you have the time. you have the will. you have the mechanics. you just don't have the HONESTY. the honesty to admit 1000 games with zero progress isn't a grind. it's a cry for help disguised as improvement. study the saskio way

✅Explanation of Meaning (by parts): 1. “Indeed, Love as the primary measure of life’s value” : The author establishes love, encompassing compassion, empathy, and connection as the foremost criterion for assessing life’s worth. This elevates love above material or intellectual metrics, positioning it as the essence of a meaningful existence. It suggests that human connections define a life’s significance, aligning with philosophical views prioritizing relational bonds. 2. “reaffirms the profound significance of a reliable distant future” : Prioritizing love underscores the necessity of a stable future, extending beyond the present to ensure the well-being of future generations. Love’s enduring value requires a long-term vision, as its full realization demands continuity. This highlights an intergenerational ethic, linking current actions to future aspirations. 3. “one that allows not just its preservation” : A reliable future must safeguard love’s existence, protecting the social and environmental conditions such as community and sustainability that enable it. Preservation is a baseline, requiring proactive efforts to maintain the structures supporting love against threats like societal or ecological disruption. 4. “but also a substantial enhancement” : Beyond preservation, the future should amplify love’s impact through advancements in technology, culture, or equity. This transformative vision implies deeper, more pervasive expressions of love, enriching human experience and fostering greater connection across time. 🗝️Main Idea (refined version): The author posits that love, as the preeminent measure of life’s value, necessitates a reliable distant future that preserves and enhances its presence, ensuring humanity’s enduring significance. This framework establishes love as the cornerstone of meaning, urging a focus on compassion and unity in societal progress. It advocates for an intergenerational ethic, evaluating present actions by their capacity to sustain love for future generations. The vision challenges humanity to align innovation with humanistic values, deepening relational bonds through progress. It emphasizes preserving conditions like social cohesion while aspiring to elevate love’s expression. This dual commitment inspires collective responsibility to build a civilization where love flourishes. It fosters hope, uniting present efforts with future aspirations. Ultimately, it positions love as the guiding principle for a humane, transformative future.

Been wandering around Dallas for 2 years without a car, basically living on savings. I’ve made like not even 20,000 in over 2 years, but actually I’ve never felt better about myself in my life. (Don’t tell my Mom she’ll worry) But I don’t care. I’m lost in the forest and I don’t even know what’s going to happen. My lease is up in 3 months and I don’t even have proof of income to move anywhere. I’m trusting everything will happen exactly how it’s supposed to Been doing the yoga @yogazama consistently and I’m telling you I’m living proof it works, I quite literally feel like a snake shedding its skin. Come check it out here plus all the classes are great. My last download I want to share is that I remember why we are here. Look at a sunset, a leaf, a creek, a body of water. Touch the nature. Look into the clouds. That experience, That’s the REAL YOU. I remember being in my 1st grade class seeing pictures of people around the world holding hands in peace, love, unity and respect. Then you grow up and wonder what the hell is happening in this world? People are stressed from working 24/7 plus all the other mistreatment. I’ve made my mistakes too we all have and will continue to make mistakes. BUT I remember that we are supposed to give more than we receive. I remember that we are supposed to lend a helping hand to all. I remember that we are supposed to love each other thru our differences, I know that we are all ONE. I remember that we are here to bring HEAVEN to EARTH. The Courage, the Creativity, the Power, the Love, the Truth, the Wisdom, and the LIGHT in me Honors and Bows down to the Courage, the Creativity, the Power, the Love, the Truth, the Wisdom, and the Light in each of you. This morning, The Princess of Wales was in London to attend The Future Workforce Summit bringing together the UK’s most influential business leaders to drive further action and investment in the early years🥰 She was greeted by Sir Gareth Southgate among the other leaders present and she delivered an address to her audience of Business leaders and the remark centered around "Love". I loved these sections of her speech greatly redacted by journalist Antonello Guerrera: "My passion and the work of The Centre for Early Childhood stems from one essential truth; that the love we feel in our earliest years fundamentally shapes who we become and how we thrive as adults."👌🏽 "Love is the first and most essential bond. But it is also the invisible thread, woven with time, attention and tenderness, through consistent, nurturing relationships which creates the grounded and meaningful environments around a child. It is this texture, the weave of love, which forms a child’s emotional world and becomes the foundation, the very fabric of resilience and belonging."❤️ "The home should be the space where love, safety and rhythm enable a child to thrive. A loving home ultimately teaches us how to love and how to care, but every environment has the potential to shape our hearts." " At The Centre for Early Childhood, we believe that we must do all we can to create the conditions for love to flourish. That is how we invest in our future. Every child deserves respect and safety, and everyone who cares deserve recognition and appreciation."🔥 "I believe in restoring the dignity to the quiet, often invisible work of caring, of loving well, as we look to build a happier, healthier society. You are here because you care, so thank you."❤️ And that is how it is done: As Royal, you are given an immense platform to do so much, and I love that Catherine understands how to use that platform efficiently and to create real change around her, not for self promotion. After the last Business summit where The Princess called on Leaders to provide more Family time on their workforce based on her early childhood research, Deloitte decided to rewrite their Policy of Parental leave for both Male and female, from the minimum 2 weeks parental leave to extend it to 26 weeks; That is 6 months full months of Paid leave for their workforce of almost 500k professionals around the world🤩 I cannot wait to see what actions comes from this new summit👌🏽 #PrincessofWales 📹Emily Ferguson

Two weeks ago I fixed one of my teeth with algorithms I wrote a couple of years ago! I got hooked by 3D scanning when I started to work for a software shop in Zurich that was programming 3D computational geometry algorithms for denture scanning to produce crowns (and more). Back then, a typical reconstruction pipeline was like: scan the patient’s teeth using an intraoral scanner, reconstruct the surface mesh, design the restoration digitally, and finally mill the crown out of ceramic. We were working mostly with point clouds and meshes, but it wasn’t just math, it was craftsmanship translated into a digital process. Every micron mattered. You could literally see how a good algorithm meant a better fit in someone’s mouth. Gaussian Splatting isn’t about surface reconstruction, it’s about appearance reconstruction. It doesn’t care about explicit topology, it captures how light interacts with the scene. In a sense, it’s the opposite philosophy of the dental world: instead of modeling what the object is, it models how the object looks. 3D Gaussian Splatting enables applications like training self driving cars, teaching robots to understand their environment, creating virtual worlds, or monitoring real sites. It represents scenes as millions of small Gaussians rendered in real time without the need for meshes or textures. Coming from a world where precision geometry was everything, this shift felt natural. It’s still about reconstruction, but with a different goal: not manufacturing a perfect object, but reproducing how the world actually looks. Two weeks ago I got my first dental crown, made with the same software, reconstruction algorithms, and Swiss precision I once helped develop. I haven’t worked there in two years, but sitting in that chair and seeing the process from the other side was a proud moment. It reminded me why I love this field.

Album is out, I’ve waited so long to share these last few years of my life with you The first song was written a little over two years ago at a really low point in my life. I had absolutely no idea what this album would sound like or if I had the energy to write it at all. The last song was written in the fall of 2025 with the most amazing team by my side and a love for music I haven’t felt since before everything all popped off for the first time. I think when you dedicate your life to something you can lose yourself in the day to day stuff and forget why you chose it to begin with. I love telling stories and sharing myself with you. I love music and how it’s allowed me to meet the most interesting people and see the most wonderful things in our world. Always be curious and never stop learning. Open yourself up to new people and experiences as much as you can. Talk to everyone and never assume anything. In a way this feels like the first time ive ever released music though that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Thank you to the fans who have been around since the beginning, or since the ride era finished and I had to take a little time to figure out what was next, or those of you who have found me because of this new stuff. I love the shit out of you. Thank you. Thank you to my team, Darian, Joe, Mark and Tyler, Garrett, Tommy, Aimee, David and matt at Hard8, Soran, Bailey, Max, Andy, Andrew, Katie, Tano, Greg, Lily and Lili, Kristin, Jalen, Tsutai, Glen, Mikelle, Michelle, Ryan and Adam, Polis and Scott, my parents and my family, my wonderful band and touring team. Thank you to the people I am undoubtedly forgetting. The point is while it’s my name on the album, dozens of people worked their asses off to bring this project to your ears. I love and appreciate every single one of them.

At first glance, it just looks like a stunning painting. Then you step back and realize you’re looking at one of the most impossibly detailed works of art you’ve ever seen... Around 1620, in Antwerp, an unnamed Flemish painter set out to gather the city’s most famous artworks into a single piece, but what he ultimately chose to do with it will never cease to amaze me. Now held at the National Gallery in London, this painting is called Cognoscenti in a Room hung with Pictures, and it is, technically speaking, one of the most vertiginous acts of illusionism in the Western canon. Eleven richly dressed men — artists, dealers, collectors, the cognoscenti of the title — move through a vast imagined gallery, discussing and inspecting its contents. But the figures are almost beside the point. What stops you are the walls. From floor to ceiling, they are covered with meticulous miniature copies of real works by sixteenth- and seventeenth-century masters, mostly from Antwerp, assembled as an ideal gathering of the finest things the city had to offer. Paintings within a painting. A museum compressed into a canvas. This is what scholars call a Kunstkammer, or "cabinet of curiosities", and the genre carried real social weight. To collect art in the Dutch and Flemish Golden Age was a declaration, not merely a pleasure. The cognoscenti shown here are pretentious by design: richly dressed, surrounded by coins, medals, and Persian rugs. Every object is a signal of wealth. And then — almost invisible, sitting on the windowsill at the edge of the composition — there is the monkey. The picture celebrates the pleasures of collecting and the erudition of art appreciation. But the monkey, a traditional symbol of the foolishness of human endeavors, sits there as a reminder of the frivolity and ultimate futility of buying expensive things. He is mocking them... these men so devoted to hoarding precious objects, when perhaps their hours might have been spent on something less perishable. It is one of the most elegant acts of subversion in art history: a painter who spent months lovingly reproducing the work of other painters, in obsessive miniature detail, and then placed a fool's emblem in the corner to ask whether any of it matters... It is simultaneously a love letter to art and an indictment of what happens when love turns into possession. The cognoscenti in the room are not wrong to find beauty worth pursuing, but they have perhaps confused the pursuit with the trophy. Four hundred years later, the monkey is still watching and the question it asks has not changed: are you here for the beauty, or for the proof that the beauty is yours? -- -- -- I wrote about this and 5 other impossible masterpieces in today's article. You can read it here: If you'd like to support my work, a paid subscription is what makes it possible.

This is what “rich” looks like I wake up everyday feeling like I hit the lotto. Not when I’m up on a trade or when I drive one of my cars, but in quiet moments like this. Just a few years ago, I was facing prison time. Broke. Delivering food on DoorDash to scrape together a few hundred bucks to fund my trading account. We shared a one-bedroom apartment with $500 to our name after bills. The journey from there to here wasn’t overnight. It wasn’t glamorous. It was a grind that broke me down before it built me up…but it made me the man I am today. Yes, I have the cars and watches now that people associate with success. But I can tell you with absolute certainty…they don’t compare to this. Building a life with someone who believed in you when nobody else did and winning the game of life Trading changed my financial situation, but gratitude changed my life. If you’re reading this and still in the grind, just keep pushing. I know it may seem like it will never work, but it will. You have to believe that. You have to be thankful for every little thing because without the bad there is no good. Without the bad you become weak. The most important thing is to remember what you’re working towards and make sure there is real meaning behind it. There’s nothing wrong with cars or a lavish lifestyle… But the only way you’ll have the hunger to get it and sustain it long term… Is by having a higher purpose that you constantly remind yourself of.
