Computer tech stumbles across a predator's motherload illicit content immediately calls police where they set up a sting to catch the predator. In Stevens Point, Wisconsin (Portage County), Gary Johnson brought his laptop into Cody Electronics Repair to resolve a broken Wi-Fi connection caused by an operating system update.... When the repair technician realized the system required a complete reinstallation of Windows, he called Johnson to ask if any files needed backing up before wiping the drive. Johnson’s exact instruction: "As long as you can back up the pictures, that’s all I care about." Following standard repair procedures to secure the client’s data, the technician opened the main pictures directory. Set to extra-large thumbnail view, the folder immediately displayed over 7,300 files containing deeply disturbing, illicit images of underage girls—some as young as toddler age. Recognizing the severity of the material, the technician quietly closed the folder, told Johnson the laptop would be ready for pickup the next morning, and contacted the police department. When Johnson returned to the shop the following day expecting a fixed computer, Stevens Point detectives were waiting outside. During questioning, Johnson attempted to excuse the massive collection as an innocent "hobby," claiming he started saving images off the internet after his personal camera was stolen years ago. He then offered an absurd cover story, stating he was assembling a collection of "the most beautiful girls in the world" to submit to Getty Publishing. When detectives confronted him about the explicitly illegal content, he repeatedly offered to simply take the laptop home and "eliminate" the files himself, completely failing to understand that possession alone is a severe felony. Johnson was taken into custody on the scene and transported to Portage County Jail, with a stop made at his apartment to retrieve necessary daily medication. Forensic analysts at the regional crime lab subsequently cataloged hundreds of flagged illicit files alongside extensive search histories, forwarding the findings to the District Attorney's Office for formal prosecution. FBI team up with Arkansas state police to bust corrupt Sheriff. This is the video of Sheriff James Stephens of Johnson County Arkansas getting caught as part of an FBI sting. Arkansas state police were directed by the FBI to pull over Stephens as part of a normal traffic stop. During the stop Stephens claimed he was visiting a confidential Informant (CI) as his reason for traveling outside of his county. Warrantless Entry from chief of police & Taser Arrest of former deputy Leads to Federal Civil Rights Lawsuit. The ending of Primetime was atrocious. The way they portrayed the sting that basically ended To Catch a Predator was something out of a twisted fever dream. Chris Hansen sets the record straight on what actually happened when a Texas assistant DA took his own life during an arrest: "Here are the facts of the case, Glenn. When we were conducting an investigation with the Murphy Police Department in Murphy, Texas, there was a man who was an assistant district attorney, Bill Conradt, who got caught chatting with decoys posing as two different 13-year-old boys... They decided that they were going to arrest him on a Sunday at his home. We knew this, obviously. We followed along and were watching with our cameras from the street. They went in to arrest him. He had his laptop, apparently, according to the police and a subsequent investigation by the Texas Rangers, and he had tried to extract the hard drive. He looked at them, said, 'I'm not going to hurt you guys,' something to that effect, and pulled out a gun and sadly took his own life. Later, there was an investigation by the Texas Rangers, which revealed that there were images of child pornography found on the hard drive of his computer. As an assistant district attorney, he would have known that each one of those images could have put him in prison for 10 years. Now, he made that decision... I feel terrible for his family. Obviously, it would be better had he had his day in court and hired a lawyer for a vigorous defense, as everybody deserves in this country. But that's not what he chose to do. There was no attempt to cover this up... We reported it as it happened, factually."

A Charlotte County Sheriff’s detective detailed to an FBI task force arrived at Cade’s home with a partner. To avoid alerting his family inside, they moved Cade into an unmarked police SUV in the driveway under the premise of an informal, voluntary conversation. Before ever stepping onto the property, investigators already had a signed search warrant in hand. They chose to withhold this detail initially, allowing Cade to talk freely and lock himself into specific statements before serving the warrant. Cade admitted to frequenting Omegle for roughly two years, claiming marital disconnect following the birth of his daughter drove him to seek adult attention. He claimed any illicit media found in his cloud was the result of passive screen recordings that automatically backed up without his knowledge, repeatedly denying that he sought out minors. Once Cade confirmed his device he was using and that it belongs exclusively to him, investigators informed him of the search warrant and seized his device(s) . Charlotte County deputies placed him in handcuffs on site, permitting him a brief goodbye with his wife and toddler before transporting him on a $770,000 bond. He was promptly dismissed from his role as a ranger at Myakka River State Park. Digital analysis shattered his passive defense. Forensics uncovered over 300 illicit files, with some victims appearing as young as six. More critically, chat logs and video data proved he had engaged in live, two-way sessions on Omegle, directly instructing underage victims on camera while screen-recording the acts. Cade entered an open guilty plea in Florida’s 20th Judicial Circuit. Convicted on 20 counts of possession, alongside transmission and the use of a minor in a sexual performance, he was sentenced to 25 years in Florida state prison followed by 10 years of sex offender probation and lifetime registration. This dude will be locked away for so long that by the time he becomes eligible for release his daughter will be a grown adult that grew up without her father.

He explained how unfair it was that he was sent to prison for as long as he was, and Joe Rogan agreed that Johnson's story reflects a huge problem of racism in the justice system. Today, Johnson was arrested after police found a severed head and limbless torso in his apartment. The victim's neighbours reported hearing "Please don’t. I have a family!" before hearing two gunshots. The police found the victims decapitated head in Johnson's freezer and the limbless torso in a blue bin in his apartment. Maybe the problem here isn't systemic racism.
