Vision is an absolute marvel of Divine Engineering. It requires a minimum of 3 systems working together from the start, or we don't see. 1. Eyes to capture light & convert into signals 2. Pathways to transport the signal 3. A brain to process it Evolution can't build it one step at a time, because there is no vision until all those systems exist and function together. Compounding the complexity further, each of those 3 systems themselves require a minimum number of more complex subsystems to function properly. For instance, all eyes require opsin proteins. Opsin is a highly complex protein that holds a special light-sensitive molecule called retinal; when a single photon hits the retinal, it instantly flips shape, triggering the opsin to change its 3D shape and trigger a precise cascade which converts the light into an electrical signal to be sent to the brain where it can be understood as vision. Opsin alone, is useless. It needs the retinal molecule plus the full cascade, or it does nothing. This is the case with ALL vision systems, confirmed over and over again the lab. No partially formed system produces any vision, or any other function for that matter. Many uninformed Evolutionists attempt to argue that we see different levels of complexity in vision systems, which they say is evidence that vision evolved gradually from simpler systems. But the evolutionary scientists themselves refute this. Even the very simplest possible system of vision - the infamous "light sensitive cell" - still relies on a similar highly complex, interconnected network of proteins and other molecules. Mainstream evolutionary science even teaches that vision systems evolved independently, from scratch, at least 40 different times. And every time, we reached for the same defense. That’s not real intelligence. It’s just tricks. Just pattern matching. Just an algorithm. Tao: “You look at how it’s done and it doesn’t feel like intelligence.” So we moved the line. Again. And again. And again. Because intelligence was supposed to feel like something. Something deep. Something we could point to and say… this is what separates us from everything else. But AI kept solving the problems. And that feeling never arrived. Engram cofounder Jack Morris just raised $98M to build a new type of AI. He says models don't need to get smarter over time. Instead, they just need to know you better and better over time. Jack describes what he's building: "Our product is a new type of AI. Flexport CEO Ryan Petersen explains why your initial vision for your company is probably wrong When Ryan first applied to Y Combinator he wanted Flexport to be “TurboTax for customs.” But that vision changed a lot. As Ryan explains: “The more you learn and the more customers you talk to and the more vendors you talk to, the more you realize how screwed up the world is in this space. Then [the vision] actually gets bigger and bigger and keeps expanding.” Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan says this is a common pattern he sees in startups too: “There’s a misconception that you wake up from a haze and you’re like ‘This is it. It is a vision which says that we must give up on democracy, that we are too stupid and inept to govern ourselves, and that we must put more and more power into the hands of one man. It is a vision that says the only thing that matters in life is the accumulation of money and power—and that it is OK if we lie, cheat, and steal to achieve those goals. It is a vision which says that we must hate each other because of where we were born, hate each other because of a different language someone speaks, hate each other because of differences in the color of our skin, or our religion, or our sexual orientation. It is a vision that foments hatred, division, and more division. It is an Orwellian vision, which says that we must live in a constant state of fear—that we must always have an enemy and that we must always be at war. It is a vision which says that we have unlimited amounts of money for bombs and guns and killing, but never enough money to feed our children, provide affordable housing, or enable our parents to retire with dignity.

Just as organizations thrive because they know where they are going, families also need a sense of purpose and direction. A home should not merely exist; it should be driven by a vision that is understood, embraced, and pursued by every member. A family vision answers important questions, such as: Where are we going? or Why do we exist? What are we building? When vision is absent, every member of the family begins to create their own agenda. This often leads to confusion, conflict, competing priorities, and unnecessary tension within the home. Vision creates alignment. It gives purpose to daily decisions, establishes a standard for accountability, and provides a framework for teaching and mentoring the next generation. Today, we launched browser use inside Codex to further close the build & verify loop for local development! Now, you can ask Codex to build your front end, and test it like a user would by clicking through the app. Codex sees everything a user sees through vision & checks the network/console logs to help debug & fix any issues that it finds. This change brings us closer to fully autonomous coding agents that delivers high quality and tested changes.
