I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? I honestly cannot believe we are living on the same planet with people who see this and still say, “she’s the victim.” Not morally. Not logically. Not emotionally. Back at the pizza shop for whatever reason we always only had teenagers apply so most of my workers were all high school kids. There was this one 16 year old girl who was working there who is as entitled as can be. Anytime she made a mistake and it was brought to her attention, she would call her dad and her dad would come up to the shop to defend her. On this day we were short a driver so I was helping out delivering pizzas while I had the employees tend to the store. The 16 year old girl was trying to joke around and be funny, she through a dough ball at someone and it got stuck in their hair. Almost like gum it was a pain to remove. So that person in turn through a tomato at her and it splattered all over her clothes. She immediately got red in the face and started to cry. She had already clocked out and left when I got back from a delivery. About 5 minutes later her dad shows up and berates me for letting that happen to his daughter. I check the cameras and saw what happened and I even showed it to him but he still feels it was wrong for a tomato to be thrown at her so told him she started it and the other girl with the dough in her hair had to get some of it cut off. I acknowledged that both parties were equally wrong for participating in it but I wasn’t going to fire the girl who threw the tomato as she was responding to doing being thrown in her hair. He wasn’t exactly reasonable in response to my actions so I ended up banning him from the store.

After October 7 and until today, many Israelis volunteer in hospitals to help take care of the wounded. These two beautiful souls, which sadly I don't have their names, did something that for some of you may seem meaningless. But for a girl who was critically wounded and survived, it meant the world. This is their story - WAR DIARY : "We went to the hospital for Noam, a sweet 19-year-old soldier who was serving in the Gaza Division when terrorists broke into the base and threw grenades into a Migunit (bomb shelter) in which she was hiding . The WNBA has completely mismanaged its biggest star in Caitlin Clark and it’s sad to see. Yet when she is targeted in ways on the court that aren’t about basketball, it’s brushed aside as “physicality” or “just the way we play in the W”. No. What Alyssa Thomas did to Caitlin Clark was not about basketball. What Alyssa Thomas did to Angel Reese was not about basketball. It was a cheap shot. It was dirty. It was done on purpose. And it’s hurting the WNBA as a whole. What’s also sad is that because of the mismanagement of Caitlin Clark by the WNBA as a whole, the fact that HISTORICALLY INCREDIBLE BASKETBALL IS BEING PLAYED in the WNBA and it’s not being talked about enough. Marina Mabrey tied the WNBA record for most points in a game with 53 points, 6 Rebs, 2 assists and tied the WNBA record by hitting NINE 3’s for the Toronto Tempo 🤯 Rookie Olivia Miles broke Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers’ WNBA record for fastest to score 300 points and have 100 assists. Clark and Bueckers did it in 19 games, so Miles did it in 18. Olivia Miles has also lead the Minnesota Lynx, without star player Napheessa Collier, to the best record in the league and #1 in every major offensive statistic. Angel Reese just became the fastest player to get 1k rebounds. There is so much greatness happening in the WNBA, and it’s being ignored because people don’t want to celebrate it when the league won’t even protect its own players from unnecessary targeted behavior. Some people don’t want to celebrate the WNBA when the league won’t protect its most marketable player that is the driving force behind its increased awareness. But I will say the quiet part out loud. The facts today still show that far too many people are making things in the WNBA about race or sexuality and not the results. Drawing a line in the sand and defending any player’s dirty play just because of the color of their skin is wrong. We shouldn’t be denying the truth of what we see and situating or views of the truth along color lines. Caitlin Clark and every WNBA player wants to compete at the highest level. They are tough and the best female basketball players in the World. They don’t want to be involved in identity politics or race wars. They just want to play basketball. Right & wrong has no color.
