This is not the slump test. This is the unobstructed slump flow test. In the slump test, the cone goes big hole down. The test you’re showing is used on self consolidating concrete. Two completely different test methods.

As a civil engineer, the slump test is one of many critical tests we take before beginning the work The concrete 'mix' depends on what we're building. The slump test ensures we have the right consistency before we pour. If you found this interesting, this is the step by step:

What you have posted is called a "spread test" for grout. Slump uses the same tools in a different way

They are forgetting when you fill the cone with concrete it’s done in 3 parts and it’s to be roded 28 times each time. They are showing the test incorrectly an this is how concrete inspectors end up in jail

Flow test. Not slump test.

They are actually spread tests. The cone is flipped the other way for slump tests.

As someone who works in the industry and after looking through the comments. I’m glad most of yall have office jobs and aren’t in charge of inspections or anything else.

This is actually a flow test for self consolidated concrete.

This is where the chefs got the idea for those burgers covered with an obnoxious amount of melted cheese.

Where u get one of those vibrators at … asking for a friend

Random knowledge acquired +1

Didn't know vibrators are this cool

never forget why you started 🛤️

@ssrrr22

Interesting how much variation there can be in concrete. What’s the difference between cement and concrete?

👀 interesting

Isn’t it just wetter concrete??

Wat

X sometimes gives me the most random knowledge and i love it 😎

I should call her

Deploying concrete blocks to help reef growth

Civil engineers will nod their head at this 🤣

I love pumping that loom shit through my truck. I never get a plug up with it. That being said, unless that’s a concoction of water reducing chemicals, that mud is weak as hell.
